Knocking gently on the door, I called out softly, "Elissa, it's me, Eden. May I come in?" I waited anxiously for a response, hoping that she would let me in.
After a moment, the door opened, revealing Elissa standing there with tears still streaming down her face. Without saying a word, I stepped forward and enveloped her in a warm embrace, holding her tightly. "I'm here for you, Elissa," I whispered soothingly. "You don't have to go through this alone."
As Elissa leaned into my embrace, I led her over to the bed and gently guided her to sit down. Taking a seat beside her, I reached for her hand and held it firmly, offering her my unwavering support.
"Elissa, I can't imagine how difficult and painful this must be for you. But please know that I care deeply about you, and I'm here to help in any way I can," I assured her, my voice filled with empathy. "Is there anything specific you need? Medication, a comforting drink, or even just someone to talk to?"
