Ellissa's POV
The doctor noticed my distress and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "It's okay, don't worry. We'll get through this together. Sometimes our memories can play tricks on us, but we have ways of bringing them back."
I nodded weakly, my eyes welling up once more. The fear of the unknown tugged at my heart, but I clung to the iota of hope provided by Dr. Stevens' steady demeanor.
Dr. Stevens continued, pacing his questions carefully. "What's the last thing you remember? A place, a person, maybe an event?"
I closed my eyes, trying to grasp onto any fragment of my old life. Flashbacks flickered like dying embers, too distant and fragmented to ignite a coherent memory. My voice trembled as I replied, "I... I don't remember."
