  Stefan

  Sara looked happy. I don't know what was happening with her, but she made me smile. She entered the home office where I was completing some last-minute paperwork. I had important matters to attend to at the company. Sara walked over to me, laughing. I had to stop reading the papers because I wanted to talk to her. Sara sat on my lap and hugged me. She gave me a kiss on the lips and another on the cheek.

  "What's going on?" I asked, smiling at her. "You look happy today. We argued this morning. I thought that would ruin your day, Sara."

  "No, I'm fine now. I feel splendid, Stefan. I feel that from today onward, everything will be fine. It's a relief that it's finally over..."

  I raised my eyebrows. I didn't understand what she meant.

  "What will be over?"

  "Oh, nothing. I mean, I've decided not to bother you about Kara anymore. I understand she's the mother of your children, and I get you need to ensure her well-being," she said, widening her smile.
