YN was deep in thought, Jimin's words tangled in her mind like a knot. What did he mean by "sometimes what we see is not what actually is"? And what was the significance of the human trafficker being in the compound? She let out a frustrated sigh and lay down on her bed, but sleep was nowhere to be found. Her mind was racing with questions and uncertainties.
Meanwhile, Jimin made his way to the study, his heart heavy with concern. He knocked on the door and entered, finding Jungkook standing with his back against the table, checking some documents. Jimin was hesitant at first, but then he gathered his courage and spoke up.
"Hyung, I know I did what was wrong, but... but she never hurt any of us," Jimin said, his voice laced with concern. "I know her way was wrong, and she did wrong by you, but just put yourself in her shoes and think for once what you would do... and they don't even know anything about him."
Jungkook looked up from the documents, his expression unreadable. "What are you talking about, Jimin?" he asked, his voice neutral.
"I'm talking about YN, hyung. She's not a bad person."
At that moment, Jin entered the room with RM.
Jin looked between Jimin and Jungkook, sensing the tension. "What's going on here?" he asked, his voice calm but firm.
RM, standing beside Jin, crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Jimin, what did you do?"
Jungkook straightened up, his expression unreadable. Before he could speak, Jungkook intervened. "Jimin here is feeling sorry for our little prisoner, and almost let her escape," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "He's trying to justify his actions now."
Jin's eyes widened slightly, but he maintained his composure. "Jimin, why would you do that?" he asked gently.
"I know it was wrong, hyung," Jimin said, his voice laced with regret. "But I couldn't just stand by and watch her get hurt. She's scared and desperate, and I think we're misunderstanding her. She's not a bad person, I'm sure of it." He paused, taking another deep breath before continuing.
"And what we are doing? You both already knew about her but did not reveal her, and now you're saying she played with your emotions. If you were that scared of betrayal, then why didn't you expose her at that time, instead of torturing her now? If you hate her that much, then why didn't you kill her?"
Jimin's voice rose with each sentence, his frustration and anger bubbling over. RM's eyes widened in shock at Jimin's outburst, and Jungkook's face darkened with anger. Jin's expression remained calm, but his eyes were fixed on Jimin with a mixture of concern. He stepped forward, placing a hand on Jimin's shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. "Jimin, take a breath," Jin said softly.
"Jimin, that's enough," Jungkook growled, his voice low and menacing. "You're crossing a line here."
But Jimin was beyond reason. He was fueled by his emotions, and his words poured out like a torrent. "You're all so quick to judge her, but what about your own actions? You're just as guilty of playing with her emotions as she is of playing with yours. You used her, hyung, and now you're punishing her for it?"
RM took a step forward, his eyes flashing with anger. "That's not fair, Jimin. We didn't use her. We were trying to protect ourselves."
Jimin's laughter was bitter. "Protect yourselves? From what? From getting hurt? You're already hurt, hyung. You're already broken. And now you're taking it out on her?"
Jungkook's eyes flashed with anger. "You think this is easy for me? You think I enjoy this?" he spat. "And now you're asking me to trust her? After everything? I knew about her but still chose to give her a chance. Wasn't that enough?"
Jimin shook his head. "I'm not asking you to trust her blindly. I'm asking you to see that she's not our enemy. There are bigger threats out there, and we're losing sight of that."
Finally, Jin spoke up. "Jimin, I think you need to calm down and think about what you're saying. We're not trying to hurt YN, but we need to protect ourselves. And we will talk about this when you have a calm mind. We need to talk to her, to find out what's going on."
The room fell silent, the only sound Jimin's ragged breathing. Jungkook's face was red with anger, and RM's eyes were blazing with fury. Jin's expression was still calm, but his eyes were fixed on Jimin with deep concern.
Jimin's laughter was cold and mirthless. "You're too late for that, hyung. You've already made up your minds about her. You've already condemned her."
The room fell silent again, the tension between the four of them palpable. It was clear that Jimin's outburst had changed the dynamics of the situation, and that nothing would ever be the same again.
Jimin stormed out of the study, the door slamming shut behind him. The tension in the room was palpable, and Jungkook's anger was simmering just below the surface. With a curt hand gesture, he dismissed Jin and RM, who reluctantly left the room, their eyes fixed on Jungkook with concern.
As soon as they were gone, Jungkook snatched his car keys from the table and stormed out of the study, slamming the door behind him.
A few moments later, his car roared to life, the engine revving as he sped out of the driveway. Jungkook drove blindly, his anger and frustration fueling his actions. He didn't know where he was going, and he didn't care. He just needed to get away from the suffocating emotions that were choking him.
The road became a blur as he sped through the countryside, the speedometer climbing higher and higher. His heart raced with every beat, his anger and hurt boiling over. He was driving like a man possessed, with no destination in mind, just a desperate need to escape.
The wind whipped through his hair, and the music blasted through the speakers, but Jungkook didn't hear it. He was lost in his own world, consumed by his emotions. He didn't know how to process the feelings that were tearing him apart, so he just kept driving, hoping to outrun the pain.
But as the miles flew by, Jungkook began to realize that he couldn't escape his emotions that easily. They were a part of him, and he needed to confront them head-on. The question was, would he be able to face his demons, or would he continue to run from them?
Eventually, Jungkook's car stopped, and he pulled into an empty beach parking lot. He got out of the car, feeling the cool ocean air, which was a big change from the angry feelings inside him.
Without thinking, he walked towards the beach, listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore, which calmed him down a bit. The ocean breeze played with his hair, which was scattered across his head.
Jungkook sat down on the sand, gazing out at the horizon as the sun began to set. He lost track of time, consumed by his thoughts. The waves washed over his feet, a gentle reminder that there was a world beyond his own problems. He sat there, motionless, as the stars started to twinkle in the night sky, his mind a jumble of emotions, his heart heavy with his own troubles.
The sound of the waves was the only thing that broke the silence, a soothing reminder that he wasn't alone, and that there was a world beyond his own pain. For now, Jungkook just sat, lost in his thoughts, unsure of how to move forward, or how to confront the emotions that were tearing him apart.
As the night grew darker and the temperature dropped, Jungkook wrapped his arms around his knees, pulling them close to his chest. His thoughts drifted back to YN and Jimin's words. He pondered the complexities of the situation, trying to piece together the puzzle of their lives.
"Is it not the universe's cruel design to test my resolve, and mine alone?" he laughed, but it was a sad laugh. He sounded angry, then desperate. ""Or is it merely a coincidence that the universe's harshest trials seem to converge upon my doorstep. Is it not the universe's cruel joke to give me glimpses of happiness, only to rip it away and leave me with nothing?" he asked the night, his voice shaking with sadness and frustration, as if he was waiting for an answer that wouldn't come.
The sound of a seagull crying in the distance brought him back to reality. He knew he couldn't stay there forever. The beach had given him a short break, but he still had problems to solve. With a deep sigh, Jungkook stood up, brushing the sand off his clothes. He took one last look at the ocean, remembering all the possibilities ahead.
Determined to face his problems, Jungkook turned and walked back to his car. The drive back was slower and more careful. The anger that had brought him here was gone, replaced by a strong decision to move forward.
