Oakwood University's bustling campus, students hurrying to their classes and gathering in small groups.
Roman sitting on a bench in the campus courtyard, his football gear beside him. He's supposed to be reviewing play strategies, but his attention keeps drifting.
Across the courtyard, Lily is sitting under the large oak tree, her usual spot, with a book in her hands. Roman's eyes are drawn to her, fascinated by the serene expression on her face as she reads.
Roman (V.O.): "She's always so calm, so... at peace. How does she do it?"
Roman observes Lily as she turns the pages of her book, her expression soft and serene. She occasionally smiles or frowns in response to the text, clearly lost in her own world.
Roman (V.O.): "I've never seen anyone so lost in a book before. What's so special about it?"
Roman tries to divert his attention back to his friends, who are joking and laughing nearby, but his gaze keeps drifting back to Lily. He notices how she tucks a strand of her light brown hair behind her ear and how her eyes light up at certain passages in her book.
Alex: "Roman, you with us, man?"
Roman snaps back to reality, offering a half-hearted smile.
Roman: "Yeah, sorry. Just thinking."
As the day progresses, Roman finds himself drawn to Lily's calm presence. He watches her interact with a few classmates, her smile gentle and her voice soft. There's a stark contrast between her demeanor and the chaotic energy of the campus.
Roman (V.O.): "She's so different from anyone I've ever met. I wonder what makes her tick."
Later, Roman heads to the library, knowing Lily often studies there. He finds a spot where he can see her without being too obvious. She's at a corner table, surrounded by books, her expression one of deep concentration.
Roman (V.O.): "How can someone be so focused? It's like nothing else matters when she's reading."
Roman tries to study his own textbooks, but his thoughts keep returning to Lily. He watches as she takes meticulous notes, occasionally pausing to look out the window with a thoughtful expression.
Roman (V.O
.): "What's going on in that head of yours, Lily? What makes you so calm and composed?"
As Lily gathers her things to leave, she accidentally drops one of her books. Roman sees his chance and quickly walks over to help her.
Roman: "Here, let me get that for you."
Lily looks up, surprised but appreciative.
Lily: "Thank you, Roman."
Their hands brush as he hands her the book, a momentary spark that leaves both of them slightly flustered.
Roman watches as Lily walks away, her calm demeanor still a mystery to him. He's left with a growing sense of curiosity and a desire to understand her better.
Roman (V.O.): "There's something about you, Lily Turner. Something I can't quite figure out."
Roman sitting alone in his dorm room, staring at his own reflection in the window. The calmness he observed in Lily makes him question his own turbulent emotions.
Roman (V.O.): "Maybe it's time to find out what brings her that peace."
