Aldric's Question

"That's enough for today, Theron. You've done very well."

It didn't take too long before Sir Aldric declared the end of Theron's show of skills. He was deeply impressed that he forgot for a moment that Theron was the youngest among the three.

The side of Aldric's lips slightly rose up to a subtle grin. He gently clapped his hands. It was rare for him to have his reaction.

It seemed like the rumor that the Xion family's youngest child was a prodigy was true after all.

Theron momentarily stopped himself in a controlled manner. He stood straight and smiled before bowing his head as if he was an experienced fighter. Afterwards he threw the sword on the floor.

'Oops, I forgot that I'm still a child.' Theron soon realized what he did.

As soon as he held his head up high, he jumped excitedly a few times as if he was also surprised by what he had done. He quickly ran to Tyron and Allyza on the side, whose mouths were wide open.

Even Charlize and Elias was deeply amazed at it. There was no jealousy in their eyes but pure amusement. They were clapping their hands as they cheered for Theron's name.

"My son!" Tyron exclaimed out loud, his arms spread apart. His eyes widened as the excitement was shown on his face.

"My son is such a genius!" he shouted out loud, very proud of it.

Somehow it made Theron feel very embarrassed. His steps halted, refusing to go near his father who looked like a fool right now.

"Ehem, ehem," Tyron suddenly stood straight when he realized that they weren't alone. He cleared his throat and smiled, acting like nothing happened.

"Thank you for today, Aldric."

Instead of going towards Theron, Tyron went to Aldric and shook his hands.

Aldric chuckled before nodding. Afterwards he put on back his stern expression.

"You're welcome. I'll come back here the next day. I hope the kids are still well prepared. I would like Theron to sit in too. In his age, it was rare to find someone like him. Once he reaches the right age, I also want to train him personally." Aldric heartfully requested.

Aldric had trained a lot of noble kids in the past, but it was the first of him to see someone like Theron. He has seen noble kids who truly had a talent in swordsmanship, but Theron was different.

Theron's movements, even though it was all basic, and the way he bowed after, looked as if it came from someone experienced. No doubt that his Tyron's son.

"Haha. That's good! Did you hear that Theron?" Chuckling out loud, Tyron glanced over his shoulder and gave a one big smile to Theron. "Come here and say thank you to Sir Aldric."

Theron slightly nodded his head. He stepped forward and stopped beside his father, in front of Aldric.

"Thank you for your kind words, Sir Aldric." He respectfully said.

"I have a question for you, Theron." Aldric lowered his head to have the same height as Theron.

"What is it, Sir Aldric?" Theron's eyes stared directly at Aldric. He wanted to know what he was thinking.

"Do you want to be a knight and follow your father's steps once you grow up?" As early as this, Aldric wanted to hear Theron's answer to his question.

"..."

Theron glanced over to Tyron after hearing the question. There was already an answer in his mind but he didn't want to say it out loud.

Theron didn't want to become a knight. He just wanted to be strong.

"I still do not know, Sir Aldric." Theron answered in a respectful manner. It was the safest answer to say.

Aldric silently nodded before returning to his stand. He accepted the answer and formally said his goodbye afterwards. He had matters to attend to after his schedule of teaching for today.

Allyza and Tyron lead Aldric outside while the kids remain in the training ground. After hours of exhaustion and fear, Elias and Charlize finally had a moment to sigh in relief. Their suffering was finally over.

"Theron!"

"Brother!"

Elias and Charlize excitedly ran over to Theron. They held his hands and jumped excitedly that Theron had no choice but to follow suit.

"You're so great, Brother!" Charlize exclaimed in pure amusement before letting go of Theron's hands. She glanced over to Elias and stuck her tongue out.

"Blehhh. My brother is better than you!" she teased out loud.

Elias scoffed and crossed his arms. He raised an eyebrow, "It's fine. Theron is really great. But compared to you, I am completely better. Right, Theron?"

"Hey! He's my brother!' Charlize's eyes widened as she pointed her fingers at Elias. "Don't brainwash my brother!"

"I'm not brainwashing him!" Elias countered. "Just accept that I am better than you."

Theron shook his head. He slowly backed out and let the two bicker in peace. His head was aching because of their noiseness.

Theron, in silence, went back to the estate. Rian and a few maids were following him from behind. It must be because his small body wasn't used to it that he now suddenly felt tired. His show of skills earlier wasn't even that long.

[That's wrong, My Lord. Your stamina is greatly connected with your swordsmanship.]

The System countered what he was thinking.

Theron only sighed after learning about it. That means his body was fucked up then, since his grade in swordmanship was at its lowest.

"Rian," Theron softly called out for Rian's name after they reached his room.

"Yes, Young Lord?" Rian immediately became attentive. She smiled as she reached out for Theron. She immediately noticed his tiredness.

"Can I take a bath now and sleep?" he pouted as he looked at Rian.

"Of course, Young Lord." Rian chuckled. "Should I ask the maids to prepare warm water so I can bathe you now?
