"My mother," Kyrexiel said slowly in reply to what Cormac said. It started slow but it came, fury at the mention of his mother and he snared, fangs flashed and gleaming. "My mother is your liege lord! She leads the Hydraeus family!"
Cormac's face twitched. "Maybe. But not for long. She's losing favor fast with the people. She is now weak. And we are Rashaka. We follow only strength."
"The Bloodline above," Kyrexiel whispered, purple eyes glowing hotly.
Cormac and the guards flinched.
What Kyrexiel meant by 'The Bloodline above' is only used by the strongest of the Bloodline. It's an insult and a sign of superiority all rolled into one.
The memories were coming faster now and it mixed with his fury to turn into an Inferno that made his aura swell in the prison, it was his Bloodline aura and it suppressed all other blood not as strong as it.
It was his mark as a Sicon of pure Blood and a Great Clan.
But even a strong Bloodline must be backed by power and Kyrexiel had none.
Cormac gestured and water gathered, small lighting sparking in it, he flickered his third hand and the water lashed out, slamming into Kyrexiel's head and knocking him to the floor.
Pain flared, from the new wound and the old ones. Kyrexiel didn't know why he was so angry. He was not the owner of this body and yet he felt protective of its mother.
And he felt not only anger but also self-loathing.
The previous owner of this body wanted nothing more than to protect his mother and her Great Clan but he was a coward. And the worst type too because he did nothing to change it.
The only thing he did was cause even more trouble for his mother.
Kyrexiel slowly untangled his own emotions from those of the body's previous owner. He had to, if he was to survive, not get killed because he didn't even know where his soul would return if he died.
He sat up slowly and looked at Cormac standing over him, the water surrounding him was gone. "Killing a family member is one of the greatest crimes, Cormac."
Cormac smiled, it came with a touch of cold. "And yet you did it."
'Shit! How stupid is this body's previous owner?' Kyrexiel thought. "I am Sicon." He grabbed for something to say.
Cormac nodded. "You are and that is why I made sure you are far from your mother's reach. Your uselessness made it all too easy. You are a Sicon that has no value for the family. Worthless."
It stung. Hard and Kyrexiel gritted his teeth. If he was the previous Kyrexiel then he would have flinched and cowered but this Is Lucas and he was stubborn as a mule.
He stood up and gathered as much of his dignity as he could, then he walked forward. "Touch her and you will regret it," Kyrexiel looked at him unblinking. "No, you will regret this either way, Elder."
Cormac was surprised. He had been one of the people who tried to teach the Sicon how to fight and even though he learned the forms, it was useless on Kyrexiel because he was too afraid to hit anyone.
Cormac hesitated, then he shook his head. "I won't regret anything. You will be dead this time. But be glad, your body will be put to good use."
Kyrexiel didn't have anything to say. He was utterly powerless. The Bloodscion didn't even know if he was alive since everyone believed he would be dead in the Reckoning Sanctum.
The Reckoning Sanctum was a chamber built specifically for the family of Hydraeus. It was used mostly when they committed a crime. It might seem a small punishment but it was designed to kill.
Every challenge there would always be above your power level, no matter how powerful you are. If you are a master then the challenge there would be for grandmasters.
Very few are those that could survive it and had survived it, the only reason Kyrexiel did was the soul changed. The Sanctum had guage Kyrexiel's power before the new soul activated. And the previous Kyrexiel was pathetic indeed that the challenges were simple.
"If the Bloodscion found out....if my mother knows of this." Kyrexiel began. Trying to find anything to stop them from killing him.
Cormac smirked. "Your mother will do nothing. She won't risk her remaining power to save your neck. You are part of the reason her influence went down. The Pure Blood of Hydraeus is coming to an end. A new one will start."
Kyrexiel understood. The Bloodscion, his mother had been supporting him even though he was a cowering pathetic thing that spent all his time in the room.
It was a stain on her and if Kyrexiel was not the heir he would have been put down a long time ago. But her mother received all his blame since they looked at the weak mother and then at the even weaker son and shook their head at how the Great family had fallen.
Kyrexiel gritted his teeth. In his other body, as Lucas. The only thing he wanted was the acknowledgment of his parents. 'And this jerk just wasted it all?'
Kyrexiel started at Cormac. He had no words today but he had a lot to say in his mind now. Lucas now had a new goal. 'I will be Kyrexiel Hydraeus and I will raise the Great Clan and then feel a family's love, if that's possible'
It might sound weak but Kyrexiel had truly never felt it before in his previous body but this body have constantly felt it, only to shove it away.
And now, the only thing his mother had when she looked at him was disappointment.
Kyrexiel straightened, he would make the memories his, and then he would do one thing he was good at. Achieve his goal no matter what.
"Bloodline will always be above, Cormac," Kyrexiel said again. "Now, since you can't kill me yourself, how are you going to do it?"
