CHAPTER TWENTY TWO
Xian Sining had wanted to go after her but his mother, the Empress called. It turned out his siblings had snitched on him, he was scolded for a whole hour before he was released.
By the time he found her, he happened to witness the situation earlier.
"Fine, if you can't take responsibility, at least treat me to a meal twice a week." Xian Sining said seeing her conflicted expression.
He knew Luo Shiyi still liked Norman, he can't rush it. First, he has to show her Norman's true face. Once her feelings for Norman was gone, then he can officially pursue her.
"Till when?" Luo Shiyi asked a little reluctant.
"A year." Xian Sining answered. Seeing her reluctant expression, Xian Sining frowned and asked.
"What? Is this prince not worth It?"
Luo Shiyi's face turned pale as she waved her hands in protest.
"No, no I didn't mean that."
"Fine, this week is almost over. Why don't we have it now?" Xian Sining said still feeling unhappy.
"...Alright."
Meanwhile not far from them, three figure could be seen. Two were wearing blue hoodie paired with casual jeans. The hoodie covering their faces, their dressing didn't look out of place because that is what most people are wearing nowadays.
The third person was a girl, she had black hair indicating she was royalty and light blue eyes. She was wearing a yellow longsleeve shirt and a red trousers, because the current clothes were complicated, a lot of people start to wear comfortable and breathable ancient clothing.
"Tsk, tsk. As expected of my son, he took after me." One of the person wearing a hoodie said in a somewhat authoritative voice. His face was shown looking very handsome and matured. If An Ke'an was here, she would have recognised him as the Emperor.
"You actually dare to say that? Who was so shy back then that he couldn't speak a single word in front of me?" The other one wearing a hoodie said, her delicate and beautiful face looking at the Emperor in disgust, while her slender pale hand pulled his ear.
"Ouch!!" Emperor Yanqi exclaimed though he was not really in pain.
"Be quiet!" Empress Luna said a little annoyed by his shouting. What if Sining heard them?
"But I still succeeded, didn't I?" Emperor Yanqi retorted to Luna's question feeling a little proud of himself. Out of all the men who were pursuing Luna back then, he was the one who succeeded.
Luna just like a name looked very beautiful and cold. Her silver hair that had peeked out of her hoodie sparkled under the sun and her light blue eyes that made people feel comfortable and enchanted was looking at the proud emperor with speechlessness.
"So are you guys done? I still have a lot to do." Xian Weiwei asked having a expression that says 'I'm so done with you guys.'
Seeing his daughter disgust Xian Wanqi said.
"You can leave."
Hearing this, Xian Weiwei turned around to leave but she suddenly stopped and looked at her parents.
"Don't tell me you are going to be watching them throughout? Dad, have you forgotten you are a dignified emperor?" Xian Weiwei asked feeling a little helpless.
"I'm not today. I took a leave, I'm just a normal citizen right now. What is wrong with checking over my son?" Xian Yanqi said not feeling anything was wrong at all.
What a joke. He had been confined to the palace for almost twenty years now, if not for the fact that his eldest son wasn't interested in the throne. He would have abdicated becoming the only short ruled emperor in history. He finally got the chance to come out, there's no way he's going back there without enjoying himself.
Seeing that her father didn't think anything was wrong, Xian Weiwei turned to the only rational one of her parent aggrieved.
"Mom!"
Seeing her daughter's expression Luna turned her face while saying.
"Sigh, if only you and your brother could give me a grandson..."
Well she's with her husband on this one.
"Mom, I'm not even hundred yet. Why would I marry so early?!" Xian Weiwei felt frustrated seeing her change the topic.
"Your brother is almost, yet he knows nothing about the affairs among male and female. If he wasn't a prince I would have pushed him on a blind date." Luna complained. If she had a grandson, she wouldn't have been so bored.
"Sigh...What a pity." Xian Yanqi said feeling the same.
An Ke'an had just finished shopping when she saw three familiar people looking sneaky in the parking space. Looking closely she felt they looked familiar, then she saw Xian Sining and Luo Shiyi not far away and figured out their identity.
"Imperial granduncle, imperial grandaunt?" An Ke'an asked feeling somewhat surprised she would meet the Emperor and the Empress here.
The three of them were startled, upon seeing who it was Luna and Yanqi breathed a sigh of relief.
An Ke'an wanted to greet them in the royal way but seeing the clothes they were wearing, it was obvious they came out of the palace hiding their identity so she just greeted them the normal way.
"Oh, it's An'an. What are you doing here?" Luna asked recognising An Ke'an, it has been almost five years since she saw the girl last and she had grown more cute.
"An'an?" Yanqi asked trying to remember the familiar face. When he finally remembered, his eyes widened in shock.
'Why is that stinky Tangxing's daughter so cute?'
"This is An Ke'an, Su Xingyu's daughter. An'an, this is your cousin Xian Weiwei." Luna said introducing her to Xian Weiwei who was starstruck by An Ke'an's beauty.
Xian Weiwei has always been obsessed with cute things, and An Ke'an looked really cute.
"Hello, cousin." An Ke'an greeted with a smile.
"Oh, hello." Xian Weiwei answered blushing.
Xian Weiwei remembered that her cousin Yu was just as cute as An Ke'an.
"Wait, cousin? Isn't Su Xingyu my cousin why is An Ke'an my cousin too?" Xian Weiwei asked confused.
"Oh, she is your Uncle An's daughter too." Luna answered clearing her confusion.
An Tangxing was Luna's cousin from her mother's side, so that makes An Ke'an's status in the family a little higher.
"Oh." Xian Weiwei said in understanding.
"Wait, you mean that Brother Yu was the female uncle An almost went crazy for?!" Xian Weiwei suddenly exclaimed looking shocked.
Her Uncle, An Tangxing had always had this aura that says 'Don't come near me' and 'Nothing interest me'. He suddenly went crazy pursuing a female, that year her father had just been crowned Emperor, so she doesn't really have much impression of that year.
"Ouch! That hurts." Xian Weiwei exclaimed after being hit by her mother who was looking at her with warning in her eyes.
Meanwhile An Ke'an showed a curious expression, she knew her mother was affiliated with the royal family but she didn't know her father was too. Judging by their reaction, they seem to have a close relationship with him.
Before she could ask, Xian Weiwei suddenly changed the topic.
"Dad, how come I had such a cute cousin and I had no idea?!" Xian Weiwei asked accusingly, An Tangxing and his wife's affairs were taboo. Judging by her mother's reaction, she probably doesn't want An Ke'an to know about it.
"If not for your uncle An hiding her away, will you just be seeing her now?" Xian Yanqi snorted feeling unhappy.
That An Tangxing has always been a pain in his ass. He could still remember the smug face he had when he showed off An Ke'an. He had wanted to have another daughter seeing how cute An Ke'an was, but his wife rejected him.
"Ahem, how have you been? You will be resuming to school next week, if you have any difficulty make sure you tell me." Luna said remembering An Ke'an had gotten first in all of the Xian empire, she was a little surprised, the girl seem a lot smarter than her father.
Luna wanted to show off but she turned back to An Ke'an when she saw her husband accusing face that seem to say 'See, she's even smart'.
These three kids were already enough for her. What if the next one was as weird as the three kids? There's no way she is risking it giving birth to another one.
"Alright." An Ke'an nodded seeing that they had no intention of telling her about her parent's relation to them. She can always find out herself.
"Run along, I won't hold you up." Xian Yanqi said hearing Xian Sining wanted to take Luo Shiyi to eat.
Ah! He doesn't want to miss it.
"Alright, goodbye." An Ke'an chuckled, she was well aware of the Emperor and Empress gossiping nature. Though she too was curious about Xian Sining and Luo Shiyi, she figured out she could always find out later.
Seeing that An Ke'an had left, the three found out that Xian Sining had also disappeared along with Luo Shiyi.
