Ariana's grin faltered, and she nodded seriously. "You're right," she said. "We can't give up now. We have to keep moving."
Tahira nodded, taking a deep breath as she steeled herself for what lay ahead. She knew that they had to be careful, that one misstep could mean capture and certain death.
As they made their way back through the secret passage, Tahira's mind was racing with thoughts of her mother. Where was she being held? Was she safe? And what would happen to her if they were caught?
Ariana seemed to sense her unease, and she reached out to touch Tahira's arm. "We'll find her," she whispered. "I promise."
Tahira nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Ariana. She knew that she couldn't have made it this far without her friend's help.
