Tahira felt a lump form in her throat as she looked at her mother. She knew that she couldn't change her mother's mind, and she had to trust that she knew what she was doing.
"I trust you, Mother," Tahira said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But please, be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you."
The queen smiled, and her eyes shone with tears. "I will, my dear," she said. "I promise. Now, go. Get out of here, and don't look back. I'll take care of myself."
Tahira nodded, feeling a sense of resignation wash over her. She knew that she had to leave, but it was hard to walk away from her mother when she was in danger.
Ariana touched her arm, and Tahira turned to her. "We need to go," Ariana said, her voice low and urgent. "Now."
Tahira nodded, and together they turned to leave. As they reached the door, Tahira turned back to look at her mother. The queen was watching her, a look of determination and love on her face.
