Chapter 4

I woke up to a text from my so-called ex-boyfriend asking if we could meet up today. I had work and class to attend to today but I don't think I'll be able to meet up but I'll try. I got to the office early, being surprised to see Lucy was an understatement.

"What are you doing here?" she spat

"I could ask you the same, I mean I do work here for now I don't know about you though"

" well am Anthony secretary "

"Oh, I see and your dressed like this" I said as I looked her up and making sure she noticed it.

"well it's non of_" before she could finish her statement Anthony walked in.

"Oh I see you've met Suzy"

"yes Anthony but I don't like her" Lucy said as she walked over to Anthony trying to cling unto him but then he moved aside and gave Lucy a deadly glare

"it's sir to you and not Anthony, and if must know she is my new personal assistant"

"but_" she tried talking but Anthony cut her off

" you will create a work station for her in my office and show her what and what she is to do as my personal assistant is that clear Lucy"

"yes sir"

"Good now go change your cloth before I fire you" he said with utmost despair in his voice.

I felt pity for Lucy na I didn't. I followed Anthony to office and sat on a couch.

"sorry for the way Lucy acted this morning, is just she has been trying to get my attention this years and I never gave her."

"it's okay, you don't need to explain yourself to me, besides am just your personal assistant not your wife"

" I wish you could be" he said but I don't think he wanted me hear it but me being me I still heard it. I blushed a little then went back to starring around. After an hour my work station was set. I dropped my bag on the table and excused myself and went to the ladies for a quick moment. I entered inside and heard some ladies gossiping about me but it didn't move me much I just entered and did my deed and came out only to be stopped by Lucy what a bumper.

"what is it Lucy?" I said with disgust evident in my voice

"I see your now the play toy"

I laughed at the comment and tried passing her but then again she blocked me. I know she was looking for a way to annoy me which was funny so did this. I walked up to her and stepped on her toes. she screamed in pain and almost fell but she then steady herself with the help of the wall. I was waiting for her to do something but then again she couldn't so took my leave muttering "stupid bicth" hoping she heard as I left her to my office.

I entered the office and saw how Anthony was fully into his work. in other not to disturb him I quietly walked to my side of the office and began the days job. By six I was already packing my things when I got a call from Josh

" What is it?"

" I just want to see you please, you have been avoiding me since we broke up, please let us just see at least let me know your alright "

"fine, meet me at mama pea's coffee shop" I said into the phone and cut the call without waiting for his response. I got to the coffee shop and saw Josh sitting by the corner. I went and sat beside him

" What do you want to tell me?"

"am sorry Suzy, I really love you am sorry for the rumor am sorry Suzy, I heard what happened to your parents and am sorry for the loss. But Suzy I want you back, I really love you and I mean it."

I laughed

" You love me, really after all you did telling people I was pregnant really. I find that hard to believe, look if that's all I want to go home. Thanks for the coffee and I'll pay you back the money, so see you later or never"

I said as I stood up and left the coffee shop.

I reached Anthony house and set my stuff down, I went to the room and took a shower and then went to prepare dinner. After dinner I got a text from Anthony saying I shouldn't wait up. I kept his food in the fridge and went to my room and the rest well was history.

Anthony cleaned his eyes as he was staring at the screen of his laptop. He watched as the stock fell and rise, how many allies he has and how many enemy's he had. it wasn't easy juggling the business world and also the Mafia world. He shut down his laptop and was about to head out before Lucy came in wearing a lingerie.

"what is it Lucy"

" nothing I just came to check on you, to know if you need to relief yourself of the stress" she said she was removing her piece one after the other. To be honest I do need to relieve myself but not with her not with any other besides Suzy oh the things I could do to her. I was drown out if my day dream when Lucy tried to jump on me but then I stopped her and told her to wear her clothes and get out of my office

"It's because of her right"

"Because of who?"

" Suzy, it's because of her you're not paying attention to me. tell me is she your new pla_"

"Lucy" I shouted "don't you ever refer to Suzy as a play toy. it's not because of her I never gave you attention, it's because I don't find you interesting, for the past three years I've seen how you throw and flaunt yourself at men and am not like them so do me a favour and get out of my office from now on you are fired. I don't want to see you here tomorrow do you understand?" I said with finality in my voice as I walked passed her. At least the leech is gone.
