Chapter 5

I was happy as I left the office and headed home. Am sure Suzmustst have slept off. I entered the house and walked quietly to my room hoping I didn't wake her up but to my surprise, so I saw her in the kitchen.

"what are you doing here"

"Jesus Anthony you scared me, I just wanted to get some water, what time is it by the way"

" Am sorry, oh it's after one"

"why come back so late"

" I had some stuff to settle but don't worry am already through with them. " I said as I casually walked up to her and pecked her on her cheeks

"get some rest," she said as she went to her room.

I entered my room and went straight to my bed. I pulled off my clothes and went to shower. I came out and heard a knock on my door.

"sorry to disturb you, just wanted to tell you your food is in the fridge in case you didn't have dinner." I laughed a little to myself, when was the last time I ever had homemade food?

"Okay, thank you I'll eat let me just dress and you need to get some sleep you have classes tomorrow," I said through my door

"Okay, night then" Then I heard her door close.

I came out of my room and went straight to the fridge I brought out the homemade food warmed It and then ate it. I was about to climb into bed when my phone rang. I checked the caller ID and saw it was my mum

"Mum, what is it?don't you know it's one in the morning"

" Am sorry for disturbing you, I just wanted to tell you to get ready you have a date with the youngest daughter of the Suarez, hope you make a good impression "

"My God, Mum how many times do I have to tell you to stop interfering with my personal life"

" Am not getting younger, so please go on the date with her and if you don't like then I'll leave you be"

" fine"

" Thank you, I love you "

"Love you to mum good night" I dropped face down on my bed after my call with mum. " Could this day ever get any worse?" I said into my pillow as slept off.

I woke up to a soft knock on my door

"Hey Anthony am going to school now, see you later"

I heard Suzy say as she left my door, I got up minutes later and dressed for work. I got to the office and saw a young lady sitting in the secretary's office. I wasted no time and went to the young lady.

"Lucy does not work here again, so you might as well take your leave"

"Am not here for Lucy, Am here for you. My name is Gabriela Suarez" She said as she stretched her hand for a handshake

"Am Anthony Walker, nice to meet you" I said as I shook her hand.

"am guessing my mum sent you?"

" yes"

"Give me a minute and I will be with you," I said as I went to the office and took some files with me. I got back to Gabriela and we went for the date.

We went to a restaurant not far from the office

and placed our order

" So, Gabriela what do you do, I mean apart from your family business what else do you do?"

" Nothing much actually, I have my own fashion company it's really hard to know what goes on in my family business "

" Okay that's nice"

" Your orders," Said the waitressing as she placed two plates of seafood on our table

"Thank you" After a few minutes Gabriela and I finished eating and the waitress took our plates I paid for the food and was about to leave before Gabriela held my hands

"Won't you take me to your house you know since I'll be Mrs Walker very soon"

"And who told you, you'll be Mrs Walker, don't tell me my mum made you believe I like you. Look I don't like you and I don't think in the nearest future you'll be Mrs Walker, now if you'll excuse me I have a meeting to attend to" I said as I left her in the restaurant and got into my car and drove off.

The school was well. Am in my final year so I have so many things to do, I've not even told my siblings our parents are dead. It's very hard I don't know how I'll do it but I decided that today I'll go over to my aunt's house and tell them although they'll be heartbroken what can I do? My chain of thought was broken when Charlie from the library came and sat beside me.

"Hi"

"Hi," I said dryly

" How are you, okay let me just get straight to the point I see that you and that guy from the library know each and I was hoping you could like to hook me up with him" I was dumbfounded, like really and she thinks she can get him that easily.

"Well am not sure he would like that, I mean yes I know him but he doesn't like the idea of me giving his number out you have to collect it from_"

Before I could finish I saw Anthony walk in with all his perfection and watched as most of the girls drool over him. I watched as his eyes scanned the room for me and when he finally found me he walked up to me but before I could react Charlie stood in my front and blocked my sight of view from him.

" Hi, am Charlie Suzy's friend," She said as she gave Anthony a flirtatious eye.

" Well, it's nice meeting you Suzy never mentioned you as her friend so am guessing you just want my attention, so now that you have it what can I do for you "

" Well I like you a lot I was hoping we could be friends " Charlie then walked up to him and tried touching him but he sidestepped her and walked towards me. He pecked me on the cheeks and draped his hand over my shoulder. " I don't think my girlfriend will approve of that," he said as he looked at me and smiled. I was still shocked about what he said before he pulled me along to his car and we sped off. He has a lot to answer
