"Xu Kai, you're too much." She said giving up.
Xu Kai let her go and she immediately left the office, he watched her as she ran out of the office and felt a pang in his heart.
It was at the end of the day, Cheng Xiao and Shen Mu walked out the elevator and as they were walking past the reception area.
"Cheng Xiao!" Shen Mu tapped on her arm showing her Ji Xiting.
"What am I going to say to him? I haven't picked any of his calls since that day." She said feeling a panic.
"What?" Shen Mu gasped.
"It was just too awkward." Cheng Xiao replied.
"Well now what?" Shen Mu asked, and Cheng Xiao shrugged her shoulders.
"I have dinner plans with you know who, and if sees Ji Xiting then it's over." Cheng Xiao said remembering about the dinner she had with Xu Kai.
Shen Mu and Cheng Xiao walked closer to Ji Xiting and Shen Mu greeted him.
"Can I talk to you?" He asked turning to Cheng Xiao.
"How did you know that I was here?" Cheng Xiao asked with no expression on her face.
"Well, you wouldn't pick up my call since that day. So, I ended up calling your mother and she told me that you were back to work." He replied seriously.
"I know, I'm sorry but can we talk another time." She said when she saw Xu Kai's car waiting outside.
"Cheng Xiao, don't I deserve an explanation. You said that day you would call, but you never did, nor did you pick up when I called. I was worried that day." He said grabbing her arm.
"I know, and I plan on explaining it to you, just not today." She said trying to leave.
"You're leaving with him again." He said feeling upset.
"Yeah, there is a meeting..." Her phone started ringing.
Cheng Xiao opened her bag and took out her phone, when she saw the caller ID she looked outside and hesitated to pick up the phone. She answered the call and brought the phone closer to her ears.
"Get rid of him now!" Xu Kai said and hanged up.
"What now?" He asked irritated.
"I have to go, lets meet tomorrow for lunch." She said and left.
She rushed to the car, and got in. Xu Kai who was waiting for her, as soon as she closed the door, he turned to her and grabbed her hand yanking her to him. He held one of her hands behind her back and his other hand grabbed her chin.
He lifted her chin upwards and stared down at her. "What did I say about keeping contact with that man?" He asked harshly.
"I didn't call him here." She tried to defend herself.
"Xu Kai, you're hurting me." She said feeling pain on her arm.
"You'll not put a green hat on my head, you hear me." He said coldly, she nodded and when calmed down a bit he kissed her cheek, before letting her go.
