CHAPTER 48

"Cheng Xiao what is your relationship with him?" Ji Xiting asked her after controlling himself.

Cheng Xiao looked at Xu Kai and looked back at Ji Xiting. "Answer him!" Xu Kai replied waiting for her answer.

"Can you go, so I can speak with him?" She asked him, Xu Kai turned and gave her a sharp glare.

"What did you just say?" He asked her, turning to stare at her.

"I want to talk and explain." She said staring up at him.

"You can do that in my presence." He said and sat down on one of the chairs.

"Start!" Xu Kai said impatiently.

"Well, it's complicated, but I don't think that we can meet anymore." She said with sad expression.

"You said what you had to say, so we're done here." Xu Kai said standing up from his seat.

"Are you coming?" He asked her, but it was not a matter of asking and Cheng Xiao knew that.

"So, this is how it is." Ji Xtiting said with disappointment dripping from his voice.

"I thought you were different, but I guess money really does buy anything." He said looking at her with disgust in his eyes.

"You?" Cheng Xiao was shocked with his words; this was not the man that she had pictured a future with.

Cheng Xiao took a good look at Ji Xiting, she understood that she had been in the wrong but was it right for him to insult her like.

"How could you say that about me?" She asked looking at him.

"What else do you want me to say? You string me along while being in an ambiguous relation with your boss, the same man who you said you would never go work for." He accused.

Xu Kai turned to her. "Is this the choice you made?" He asked in mockery.

"Whose fault is all this?" She asked him.

"I can see you both done talking so, we can go." Xu Kai said and grabbed her hand leading her out of the restaurant.

"You are nothing but a shameless slut after all." Ji Xiting accused loudly.

Cheng Xiao looked at the floor in embarrassment when all the people in the restaurants lifted their head looking at her. She could feel their gaze, with the question in their eyes, the whispers they mad as she walked past.

She looked at the man in front, he was the one who was responsible for everything.
