Gu Xixi came out her face filled with anger; she looked up and saw everyone whispering while they were looking at her. The people that wouldn't dare to look at her before, they were all looking at her with mockery.

This all started when Cheng Xiao came to her department. The only person she would not act arrogantly with was Su Li and the head of the department.

"So, you tore the document, and you couldn't even fix the mess you created. Want to flaunt your authority around and when given a chance to back it up, you couldn't." Su Li spoke looking at Gu Xixi.

The head of the department sat there running a hand through his hair in frustration. He was supposed to meet Xu Kai in two hours with the document, but what was he to do now. He looked out and spotted Cheng Xiao, an idea went into his mind.

In that moment, he remembered that Cheng Xiao had worked for Xu Kai for seven years. She had been the secretary that lasted the longest and she knew him better than anyone and even when she resigned, it had been the CEO who went and brought her back.

"Cheng Xiao, can you come into the office." He called her out.

Cheng Xiao looked in his direction and nodded. Cheng Xiao stood and walked into the office.

"Sir, you called for me." Cheng Xiao spoke when she entered the room.

"Yes, take a seat." He said motioning for the seat in front of him.

"Is it possible for you to talk to Mr. Xu about the document, I know you have worked with him for the longest time, and I am sure he would understand it if it came from you." He said going straight to the point.

"Sir, you want me to go to Mr. Xu and say what exactly. Do you want me to be accused as a seductress when it was Gu Xixi who couldn't do the work?" Cheng Xiao asked.

"Cheng Xiao, I don't mean it like that." He replied.

"There is no way that we could have the document ready within two hours, I wouldn't ask you if there was another way. You have joined us, so can you bare for the whole department to down like that?" He spoke.

"There is no need for me to go to Mr. Xu." Cheng Xiao spoke.

"Cheng Xiao, you want me to beg you?" He asked.

"I already have worked on the document." Cheng Xiao cut him off when was about to open his mouth.

"I knew that she would not be able to do it, so I decided to redo the document." Cheng Xiao explained.

"Then why didn't you say so before?" He asked again.

"Sir, I believe this is a lesson Gu Xixi had to learn. She should stop acting so arrogant when she can't even work properly. Like I said I am not here to entertain anyone." Cheng Xiao spoke and stood up; she bowed and left the office.

Cheng Xiao walked to her desk and reached for her bag, she pulled out a file and walked back to his office. She knocked and when she got permission, she entered the office. She handed him the document; he reached and took it. He went over the work and nodded in satisfaction.
