About to

The next morning when Violet woke up, the sunlight streamed in through the curtains by the window and she yawned then stretched off, while Xania, was still sleeping in the bed beside her and she glanced at him then smiled a little, since she felt a bit at ease. despite the fact that the most important part of her life was about to get started, a part that would be the most unpredictable.

She sat up on the bed and exhaled deeply, clearing her mind as she thought about the challenge between, she and Luca, as well as her future plans and her main goals, which were all difficult to achieve and she knew that, but was willing to push herself to the at most limit if that was what it took to get what she wanted and prove herself.

She got out of her bed and went to freshen up and do her normal morning routine, while the participants of the event had begun gathering at the arena for the briefing with the royal family and for the opening of the event to get started, for after it's begun the only way to stop is to quit or lose and this event was dangerous, one that could risk the very lives of those that took part.

While Violet was getting ready, Xania woke up and yawned before stretching off, while floating around in the air, almost looking sluggish.

He waited until Violet was finished and when she finally was, she came out dressed in the uniforms that were given to them, for those who would be taking part in the event.

She wore a dark blue, skirt which was just above her knee, adorned with a black stocking and a white button up shirt, with a dark blue and white jacket with a crest of the royal family, she belonged to on the left side at the top of the jacket and her long silky hair was streaming down her.

"Wow, you look nice," Xania complimented her and she chuckled then thanked him before looking at the time and realized if she did not hurry up, she would be late for the opening.

"Come on, Xania, let's get going before we are late," She said as she rushed out of the room.

As she rushed out, she bumped into Kei and Luca as well as the rest of her family and her eyes narrowed as she looked at them and her father's eyes narrowed as he glanced at her.

Kei chuckled as he stood beside hr with his arms draped over her shoulder.

"You look nice sis, are you ready?" He asked.

"Thanks and yes, I am," She responded without looking at him, while holding her gaze with her father and Kei's eyes darted between the two as well her stepmother, who exhaled deeply, but refrained from saying anything.

"Let's get going, we do not want to be late and you.... This is your last chance to decide whether you truly want to continue on this path," He said as he looked at her with his eyes narrowed.

"I am not changing my mind, thank you, I will keep going on this same path, whether someone likes it or not," She replied, meeting his gaze with equal intensity and Xania snickered.

"This should be hella fun," Kei whispered to Luca, who nudged him, with his elbow and Kei chuckled then Luca shook his head with a sigh.

"Not in the mood bro, not in the mood..." Luca muttered in a frustrated tone and Kei chuckled, knowing the situation between all of them were tense.

"Fine, if that is what you want and that is the decision you are sticking to, then so be it, come on, get into the carriage," Her father said in a stern and firm tone and they all got into the carriages, which took off to the arena, immediately.

While they were on their way there, Violet looked out the window at the places they passed by, while lost in her own thoughts, about what was to come and Kei glanced in her direction and his brows furrowed then he poked her shoulder and she snapped out of it, before looking at him and he smiled.

"Finally... Is something wrong? You seem a bit lost," He said.

'Why is be the easy one with me? Unlike the others,' She thought as she looked at him, with her eyes narrowed.

"No, I am just thinking about a few things, that is to come after this event gets started today," She responded and Kei titled his head a little, as he observed her actions carefully and her brows furrowed.

"Sis... You were never the type to really engage in certain things and what Luca said about you have changed, I believe it is true but also a good thing, you give off a different aura than you used to, as if the real you are slowly coming to light, it's quite interesting actually, you know I am carefree but, I don't care what people say, you are my sister," He said with a smile and she stared at him, with a slightly stunned expression.

Violet was not expecting to hear that from any of her family members, yet to hear it from Kei, it was different and upon seeing her reaction to what he said, Xania chuckled.

"Thanks, I guess, Kei," She replied and he chuckled, while shaking his head.

"No problem, you are just not... Used to certain things," Kei said, while looking out the window with a slightly somber look to his features and Violet sighed as she tried to divert her mind to other things.

'Their lives really are complicated.... There is more beneath the surface as always, more than one can see with naked eyes, I wonder what's the history of this family, something seems out of place in their current state,' Xania wondered with his brows furrowed.

After a little while of nothing but silence, they arrived at the arena and stepped out and upon entering, they saw the entire place was filled with people and as they made their way to the center stage, upon seeing her father, silence fell into the air immediately.
