To come

Kei chuckled and he clapped his hand as Xania chuckled, knowing the young man was deliberately doing that and Kei came in between both of them, acting as a mediator and both of their gazes snapped towards them, almost as though they were ready to pounce on him and he pulled back a little, raising his hand in mock surrender.

Violet realized what he was trying to do and she exhaled deeply before scoffing as Kei's mischievous nature, she knew that despite the fact they were step siblings and her reputation already, Kei was one that would genuinely still be there, wanting to be a part of her life.

Kei grinned t her and she rolled her eyes as Luca ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh, knowing it was pointless to continue arguing, especially when Kei was enjoying it as though they were putting on a show, but one thing he was looking forward to, was the challenge that was now standing between him and Violet, he wanted to see how far she could really go within the event.

Luca looked at Violet and his eyes narrowed, for he was willing to push further and not give up as well, because he wanted to make it to the finish line for the event, which was the most important of all time.

"You are enjoying this aren't you?" Violet asked and Kei shrugged with a grin.

"I have no idea what you are talking about, I am just trying to keep my siblings from fighting, which is something a responsible adult should do, which I am," Kei responded and both of them scoffed and Xania laughed at the boy's humor, since he knew Kei was lighting up the mood there and Violet exhaled deeply, knowing it was pointless to argue with him.

"Alright, jokes aside for now, tomorrow will be the signing of the event, where most participants will register and those who were accepted will be moved to the area where all of us will have to stay, there will be dorms, it will be in the setup of an academy, there will be matches, tests for our skills and much more things that we will have to do, that' required in a leader, there are mixtures of exams and so on, I heard from father," Kei said.

"So, this will be a lot harder than most people think huh?" Violet asked.

'It's only natural, the throne is a serious matter, they cannot do anything sloppy or they will get an undeserving leader, which is why they are taking everything so seriously and to another level, one which will push most and half of the applicants will fail, that II am certain of," Luca added and for once, Violet agreed with him on something.

"This s something that we all agree on, at least that's a good thing, there will be many rivalries," Kei said.

"Which will make it dangerous as well, since some people are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to get what they want, which also means we will have to be more careful than ever before," Violet replied and Kei as well as Luca nodded.

"Well, now that for once in our lifetime we all agree on the same thing, which is no different from a miracle if you asked me, let's call it a night and prepare for tomorrow since tonight will be our last night of peace," Kei said.

"You do not have to phrase it like that, but you are right, good night," Violet replied and Kei chuckled then tapped her shoulder, before she could leave and she glanced back at him.

"Good night and remember we will be practicing a lot together, keep your word, Violet," He said with a genuine smile and she blinked, since she was not used to certain things and Xania smiled at them.

"Yeah, I know I... Will keep my word, good night," She replied then walked away and Kei smiled as his eyes followed her retreating form and Luca glanced at him, with his eyes narrowed, confused as to what was going through Kei's head, since he had never been like that before now.

"What's gotten into you?" Luca asked and Kei glanced at him with a smirk.

"I am not you, brother, I know what I see before me and I do not care what other people think about it, I will do what I believe is right, just like you, I am not wrong either, I will stay by her side, because I simply think enough is enough," He responded as his eyes narrowed with a piercing gleam and Luca's brows furrowed at Kei's suddenly protective side and he sighed.

"Whatever, do whatever the hell you want, see if I care just know I won't hold back just because we are family, good night, brother," Luca said as he walked away.

"Oh, I won't have it any other way brother, good luck," Kei replied with a mirk before heading back to his own chambers.

Meanwhile, Violet had finished preparing for bed in her chambers and she looked outside of her balcony at the night sky and the green hue, that stretched across it, knowing that the next day will be the start of something significant, one which will change the course of all of their lives and she knew she had to make it, no matter what happened.

Xania glanced at her and saw the determination within her eyes, knowing she won't give up, but it also made him worry a bit, since he knew very well how dangerous it all was and what could happen for that throne, for it was the one which held the highest title above all the others, the one that grants you the supreme leader and people were willing to go to great lengths to get it.

'Watch over her, after all, you are a part of this, dragon,' Xania thought as he looked up at the sky, wishing that things would go well for the girl.

"Good night, Xania, rest up for tomorrow," She said as she got into her bed.

"Good night, kid," He replied then switched off the lights before settling in the bed, to call it a night, for the next day would be the start of what was similar to hell.
