Hopeful

Destiny's POV

I was anxious as I waited for Thomas's response after I messaged him about Daria, afraid he wouldn't accept I had company.

"The more the merrier," Thomas answered back in his text, and I couldn't believe he would be there when I needed help again.

Could he be an angel in disguise sent by my mother?

The sun's rays danced across the sky as we got out of our rented house. I put on my sunglasses to protect my eyes from the blinding heat of the sun, and Daria did the same; the only difference was that she covered her head with a scarf.

We walked through the pavement faster, going to the bus stop; I needed shelter soon to protect my face and skin from sunburn since I didn't bring an umbrella or put a hat over my head.
