Anger and Disappointment

Verity Calliwell did not consider herself a social justice warrior, but she did not like seeing supernatural beings abuse their power. She was naturally resistant to this type of behaviour because of her family background.

As the daughter of a powerful witch clan, she often interacted with other supernatural beings. She was familiar with the arrogance of these creatures, especially the males. They were willing to intimidate, coerce and abuse.

She could not stand for it.

However, she trusted Sterling when he shook his head. Her face also turned a little red with the touch of her crush. She did not know why he told her not to interfere, but she did not say anything although her eyes looked back at Xavier.

She had met him before at the Farrel's banquet and thought he seemed powerful. Now, she was certain that he was more powerful than she could have imagined. Still, he made her even more uncomfortable than the alpha wolf.
