I woke up groggy and disoriented, my body feeling like it had been hit by a truck. As I blinked my eyes open, I realized I was in an unfamiliar room. Where could this place be?
The walls were plain, and the morning light streamed in through a small window. I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in my stomach reminded me of my injury.
I looked down to see bandages wrapped around my torso.
"Where is this place?" I muttered to myself
Then the door, slowly opened, and Henao stepped in, carrying a tray with food and a drink. She smiled when she saw me awake.
"You're up. How are you feeling?" she asked, placing the tray on a small table beside the bed.
"Like I've been through hell" I replied, as I adjusted myself into a sitting position, I asked
"Where am I?"
"Adventurers Academy," said Henao, sitting besides me on a chair.
Adventurers Academy? Like an academy for adventurers? I guess so.
I study here. After you passed out, I brought you here for treatment."
she continued
"Even if it's called Adventurers Academy, It's a place where adventurers, mages, and others come to train and improve their skills.
We have sections for magic, sword training, science, adventuring, and more."
A place where people improve and learn skills right? Just like in Isekai reincarnation animes, the protagonist goes to an academy...
It's not like I have maincharacter syndrome, but yeah, I am somehow gonna get in here. I need to get stronger.
Hehehe something like Saitama or Mash.
Wait,
"What happened back in the dungeon? My memory is kinda blurry." It's not like I forgot anything, I just needed some praise.
"It's thanks to you that we survived!" She said.
Yes, that's all the praise I need! I kind of feel satisfied.
Now I just need to ask her how to get into the so called 'Adventurers Academy'. I will beat the shit out of this world's magic system, without any magic!
"I need to get stronger, is there anyway to get into the academy right now?"
The 'I need to get stronger' part is absolutely important, as without that my sentece won't be convincing enough. Hehe.
I tried to look at Henao like I was serious.
But whatever, I need to be seriously stronger than now.
"Yes, there is."
"What is the process?" I asked.
"For the entrance exam, you must pay 20,000 gold coins, but it's worth it. You'll learn skills that can save your life"
Great, I'm gonna go poor again with just 200 damn gold coins. This sucks man, does that means I have to go on another adventure?
I swear the Isekai world is just unfair at this point, first you give me no magic or that spirit thingy, then I almost died in an adventure,
plus the weak monsters are somehow always over powered.
Okay I will pay for it...
... Wait you are fucking telling me I must pay 20k gold coins just for the entrance exam? What if I fail? Will I lose all my money?!
"Hey, what if I fail? Will I lose all the money?"
"Ofcourse? Isn't it obvious? Like every academy does this."
Great, there's a reason why I always say this Isekai world sucks. I shouldn't have put up the act of being serious, I can't back away now.
"Alright, I'm in." I was trying to form a smile, but inside my mind, everything felt so unfair and sad. I almost died just for 20k gold coins, and now, if I fail
my entire money would be gone.
Henao smiled. "Great! Let me show you around and explain the different sections."
As we walked through the academy, Henao pointed out various buildings and training grounds.
"We have sections for magic, sword training, adventuring, and science. There's also alchemy, engineering, strategy and tactics, and healing."
Science, huh? I wonder if it's more advanced than my previous world. Alright! Time the time to grind has finally come, though it might be tiring compared
to RPG games. Whatever, let's see,
"I need to cover my weakness, build up my strength." I decided to take sword training, adventuring, and science. Those would give me a solid foundation.
"I will take sword training, adventuring, and science." I said.
"Good choices, but it's kind of rare to see someone choose science rather than magic."
Ah, I have a reason to that.
"Sword training will improve your combat skills, adventuring will teach you survival techniques and monster strategies, and science will give you knowledge of ancient technologies." she said.
Ancient technologies? More like theory of relativity, Laws of gravity, reflection and quantam physics. Before coming to this world, even if I was shut in hardcore gamer,
I was a huge physics nerd. Wait the chance of these theories existing are low, as people like Albert Einstein, Issac Newton, Stephen Hawking never existed to begin with!
That could mean the science in this world could be unadvanced! If that would be the case, then it's more like they would be teaching middleschool stuffs! Finally something
I am actually good at.
-------
"We will begin our training from tommorow. The next entrance exam is in a week, remember that!" She said.
Training huh? The entrance exam for adventuring and sword training would be a pain the ass.
"Okay, so uhm I have to go."
"Oh, is that so? Then see you tommorow Yuma."
I bid my farewells to Henao, staying there would be more of a hassle. I also needed to earn some quick money,
"let's go on a quest." I said as if my wounds had completely healed up.
Whatever, going on a quest would make me earn some money and the opportuinty to train myself... along with some life risking tasks.
I checked my knives, they were fine atleast for now.
Narrator's note: In these 5 chapters, Yuma had completely learnt nothing. Thus having no character development.

'Clear Dungeon of Slimes, Reward 4000 coins'
Dungeon of slimes? Although the boss is kinda op, the regular are nothing. They are by far the weakest! I will take on this one.
Here we go!
QUEST ACCEPTED --- CLEAR THE DUNGEON OF SLIMES!
End of Chapter 5.
