Chapter 48: The Evil God Religion

Valmus sat on the branch of a tree as he perused the contents of the Necromancers ring.

He found recipes of potions that followed a dark and twisted path, Valmus even wondered if a sane person would consciously drink the potions after knowing what was used in the making.

He then found files about the dealings between the Dark Tower, Demon Cult and Evil God Religion. A little project they were jointly participating in with the location being the unamusing Black Water Village.

'They found potent traces of Divine power but not the source, they wish to utilize the traces of the Divine power and turn it into corrupted divinity and use it to create an abomination.' Valmus read the report with a cold expression.

He had personally seen what abominations could do and he was sure that what he saw was purely limited to when abominations were your allies but when they were your foes even your soul wouldn't remain.

It was the reason why most abominations didn't leave the Abysmal Valley and chose to operate within their home turf, those that did leave the Abysmal valley had extreme levels of self-control.

'Where the hell did they find an infant abomination? Crazy! They want to over expose the infant to Anima, Miasma and Corrupted Divinity inorder to birth their ultimate champion.

How are they planning to control it, I'm sure as hell that once it develops enough intellect to put two and two together it will revolt and rampage....' Valmus' eyes widened in shock as it all finally clicked.

The Dark Tower, The Demon Cult, The Evil God Religion none of them cared what happened to the Abomination after their success all they wanted was a rampaging disaster all over Eurus Continent inorder to smokescreen their actual experiments.

'How devious, and how fitting. I needed a reason to destroy Black Water Village and they conveniently gave me the necessary tools. No wonder their bases were suspiciously close to Black Water Lake after all it's where the Infant slumbers. I remember hearing something from the villagers of how Black Water Lake was initially crystal clear, I'm guessing I've encountered the reason.'  Valmus grinned as he adjusted his plans based on the Triads plans.

'I'll break their Golden ratio of exposure and drown the infant in excess. Knowing abominations its survival instincts would kick in prompting the little devil to devour the source of danger, this will fasten the process and emergence of the Abomination.' Valmus smiled as he revisited the Necromancer of the Dark Tower and tampered with his Miasma release, the man didn't even notice anything amiss as he was current working overtime to increase the number of his army and their quality.

Valmus then visited the Demon Cult base and adjusted their Anima release ratio, he went as far as emptying his own reserves just to be extra sure.

He then finally stood in front of ehat seemed to be an abandoned temple, this was the hideout of the Evil God Religion based on the Necromancers notes.

Valmus took a breathe and calmed his racing heart, he hadn't even entered the base but was already tense. Unlike the Demon Cult and Dark Tower the Evil God Religion was a behemoth Organization that had caused immense damage in Carl's timeline.

Valmus had also faced quite a number of heretic believers in his past life and it wasn't an experience he wished to remember.

He took a step forward already cloaking himself using all five effects of Ate's Mask.

Effect 3: Divine Deceiver -> All those that gaze upon you shall see the opposite of what you are, what they perceive you to be or what you wish for them to see.

Effect 4: Absolute Secrecy -> No being even Divine can see through your existence, all Appraisal Skills/ Traits / Abilities are Nullified.

Effect 5: Transformation -> The Mask can change shape to be any existing head gear.

Effect 6: Cunning -> +500% increase to all Mental stats, Reserves, Defenses and abilities.

Skill 1 - Ate's Minds Scape - Traps all those who look you in the Eye within a Mind Labyrinth. Within it all Trapped targets have their Mental Defenses Reduced to 0 while all Mental Attacks they receive are increased by 1000%.

Can be used 12 times a day. Can trap a single or Multiple Targets So long as they're Below the Divine. Activations and Maintenance of Skills do not rely on user in any way.

Skill 2 - Ate's Domain - Pulls all beings designated as Enemies into an alternate Pocket Dimension in which Users Word and Will are Law. All Enemy stats, attack, defenses and Immunities are reduced by 1000% and Users stats are increased by the same margin. Can be used 12 times a day.Activations and Maintenance of Skills do not rely on user in any way.

He went even further and using The Mantle of Loki's  First effect while also having the Teleportation Effect on standby,  he knew all too well of the dangers of the Evil God Religion.

That was how paranoid Valmus was about those Fanatical worshipers after all he had seen their might within Carl's memories and it earned them his paranoia.

Effect 2: The mischievous are the Unknown - Allows User to create up to 5 Alternate Persona's of a separate race with separate skills, stats, traits and Class. The Fate, Karma, Fortune, Destiny and Providence of the Alters cannot and will not affect the main True Persona.

Effect 3: The Mischievous are the cowardly -> Increases  Reaction, movement, attack and evasion speed by +500%. Allows user to Teleport within a range of 5000km instantly.

Duration: 12 hrs per day.

Effect 4: The mischievous are the daring - Increases all basic Stats {STR AGI END VIT INT}, Stealth, Perception and Dexterity stats by +500%.

Effect 5: The Mischievous are the persistent - Increases all Elemental, mental, soul, physical and True Defenses by 500%.

Effect 6: The Mischievous are the Resourceful - Increases all energy reserves by 500%, all damage dealt linked to the increased reserves are increased by 100%.

Effect 7: The Mischievous are Presentable - Allows the Mantle to chance shape and design.

Skill 2 - Loki's Harmony - Creates a Divine Defense that Defends against True Damage equal to 1000% of Users Overall Defense. Can be used once per Target per day. Activations and Maintenance of Skills do not rely on user in any way.
