Preparing for the family ritual

~Boom!~

Inside another building tagged 'training court' in the Darkling's empire was loud explosion. Dust covered the battle arena as continuous clash of swords and explosions reverberated inside the building. The ones engaged in the heated conversation with the swords were not visible due to the dust.

A man -who was spectating the match from a transparent cubicle that was floating above the battlefield- received a call.

"Hello, sir..." He answered the call with a hint of respect in his voice.

"... Yes sir, I'll inform them immediately "

He hung up, using magic he enhanced the volume of his voice enough to be heard by the duelists in the arena, admists the sound of their clashing swords and explosions.

"Hello young mistresses, a message just came in that your mother has delivered a baby boy, and you have been summoned

for the ritual." He reported in detail; adding the gender to avoid questions.

~Shhh~ the clouds of dust settled as the two fighters stopped engaging each other.

"Huh? A baby boy? I guess we're even now. Do you think he is going to be strong? Would Raphael like him? But then again seeing how lazy Raphael is, he won't want the responsibility of taking care and training a younger brother, right, Olivia?" A different colored eyed girl said as she walked towards the other girl. One of eyes red and the other golden. She tied her long black silky hair which was left to fall into a ponytail. She is very beautiful although her red tracksuit was dusty and torn a proof of their duel.

The other girl she walked up to; Olivia a blonde girl with red eyes and, a perfectly shaped face that any man would fall for. She was wearing a black crop top and black shorts, unlike her junior sister, her clothes were unharmed, but dusty. She reached a table, opened a bottle of water, and started to gulp it down.

Riley, the different colored eyed girl, waited patiently as her senior sister, emptied the bottle of water and picked up a clean towel to clean her sweaty face.

"Do not address me so formally, I'm still your teacher. Besides, Raphael's your twin brother, you should know more about him than I do. That aside, your attack pattern has gotten more unpredictable, but your movements are slower and clumsy." Olivia said and started walking out of the arena.

"Why are you always cold? You should be a little nicer to our baby brother. You might scare him with this attitude of yours, you know?" Riley said as she picked up an eye patch from the table and wore it, covering her right golden eyes.

"Do not address me so formally, I might kill you." Riley warned

"Awwn, you're such a cutie, come on, I know that you won't kill me because I'm your beautiful little sister. You should know that I can see through your stone-hearted exterior. So what do you think of the new baby?" Riley asked as she followed Olivia closely behind

"I only pity him... for being born into a family like ours. He just arrived in hell." Olivia said.

"Hey, don't talk like that. I still don't get why you despise this family so much, what's your deal?" Riley asked in annoyance.

"You're still seven, you wouldn't understand."

"Look who's talking, you're just twelve. TWELVE ... YEARS ...OLD." Riley dragged her words before she continued,

"You're right, I don't understand you at all. You have the strongest eye amongst all of us, Just look at me and Raphael, half vampire, half witch. We will never be able to use any of those two powers to its full potential. But you have dad's eyes. The 'Blood supreme eyes' if anything, I should be the one cursing this family for making me so much half-assed."

"Go and get prepared, you know dad won't like to be kept waiting, we leave immediately," Olivia said completely ignoring Riley as she turned into a drop of blood and teleported away.

"So much for the hate speech, but she still flaunts her powers which is from the family. Why not stop using it if she hates us that much? Tsk I'm annoyed." Riley complained before walking out of the arena.
