Chapter 199 The Premier League Golden Boot Is Locked In The Start! Lukaku Is Alive Again!

Su Luo's debut couldn't have been better—3 goals and 2 assists! He was the undisputed Man of the Match, and the media swarmed him with more enthusiasm than he'd experienced in the Bundesliga.

A BBC reporter, mindful of Su Luo's status as a foreign player, spoke slowly. "Was this hat-trick your response to the earlier doubts?"

Su Luo chuckled, replying in a fluent London accent, "I've never cared about doubts. Today's performance was all about winning. The only thing I care about is victory and the championship."

The reporter quickly picked up on Su Luo's confidence. "So, you believe you can lead Chelsea to the Premier League title this season?"

"I'm not just aiming for the Premier League," Su Luo responded calmly. "We'll win more than that."

A collective gasp went up from the reporters. Wasn't it said that Chinese players were usually modest? Why was this man so bold? Winning one game and already talking about championships? The Premier League's top teams weren't going to be easy to beat!

But on reflection, maybe Su Luo's confidence wasn't misplaced. His performance—3 goals and 2 assists—was nothing short of extraordinary. After all, last season he was the European Golden Boot winner and topped the assist charts. He even outperformed Messi and Ronaldo in those areas. If it hadn't been for their national team performances, Su Luo might have been the frontrunner for the Ballon d'Or.

This year's Ballon d'Or race was indeed wide open. Ronaldo's club had faltered, but he won the European Championship. Messi had a La Liga double and was Copa America runner-up, but his personal stats were slightly weaker. Su Luo, with his league titles and Champions League semi-final appearance, was right in the mix.

Su Luo's comments quickly made headlines:

"Su Luo: The Other Teams Are Just Playing for Second Place!"

"Chelsea's €155 Million Man Boldly Predicts a Title After Perfect Premier League Debut!"

The media had clearly stoked the flames, and fans of other teams exploded on Twitter.

"So what if you scored a hat-trick? It's just one game!"

"Beating West Ham doesn't mean much. Wait till you face Tottenham!"

"Man City will teach this guy a lesson!"

"Seriously? You were double-killed by this guy last season. It's up to the Red Devils to stop Chelsea."

"Yeah, right! Mourinho should worry about avoiding relegation first."

What followed was a Twitter war among Premier League fans. Tottenham and Arsenal supporters clashed, while Manchester United and Liverpool fans engaged in a brawl, with Manchester City fans joining the fray. Chelsea, once the target of everyone's ire, suddenly found themselves watching the chaos from the sidelines.

This strong reaction from Premier League fans only highlighted one thing: Su Luo's performance had genuinely worried them. Manchester City and Arsenal had both felt his impact last season. If Chelsea built up momentum, the Blues might just be the team to beat this season. All eyes would be on their next few matches.

Chelsea's upcoming games against Watford, Burnley, and Swansea didn't seem like much of a challenge. But everyone was eagerly anticipating Chelsea vs. Liverpool in the fifth round of the Premier League—the Red vs. Blue clash! Maybe Liverpool could be the team to stop this new Chelsea juggernaut.

The day after Su Luo's dazzling Premier League debut, Chelsea's second team easily dispatched Romanian club Steaua Bucharest 5-0 in their UEFA Champions League play-off first leg. The gap in quality between the leagues was evident, making it a straightforward victory.

It's worth noting that Chelsea's second team featured several promising U23 players who performed admirably. While these names might not be familiar to everyone, Su Luo certainly noticed them: Mason Mount, a future Chelsea star; Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a midfielder with exceptional technical skills; and Reece James, England's future right-back. Su Luo even spotted a 13-year-old named Musiala in the youth camp, another name to watch.

Over the years, Chelsea's youth academy had consistently produced top talent, a testament to Roman Abramovich's dedication to building the club. Reflecting on Abramovich's contributions, Su Luo felt a tinge of sadness knowing that some things, like Abramovich's eventual departure, were beyond his control. All he could do was help Chelsea win as many honors as possible during his time at the club.

With the confidence of a strong debut behind them, Chelsea continued to dominate the Premier League. Under Conte's guidance and with a powerful lineup, the team seemed unstoppable.

In their second Premier League match, Chelsea comfortably beat Watford 3-0 away. Su Luo contributed 2 goals and 1 assist, once again proving his importance. Chelsea started the match defensively, relying on counter-attacks to unsettle Watford. Twice in the first half, they scored with the same routine: Kante intercepted the ball, Su Luo passed it to Hazard, and then Lukaku and Willian drew defenders away, allowing Su Luo to finish with precision.

Even though Watford knew what was coming, they couldn't stop it. In the second half, Su Luo switched tactics, moving to the right wing. Willian received the ball in the box and easily slotted it into the net, sealing a 3-0 victory.

In the third round, Chelsea returned home to face Burnley. Within just 2 minutes of the match, Su Luo made his presence felt. Chelsea's patient build-up play in the final third saw Su Luo closely marked by three Burnley players every time he touched the ball. But he found a gap, threading a perfect pass to Hazard in the penalty area. With no defenders in sight, Hazard calmly finished.

"The ball was onside! That was pure genius!" the commentator exclaimed. "Hazard!!! And Chelsea takes the lead within 2 minutes!"

The commentator couldn't help but replay Su Luo's skillful move in slow motion. Surrounded by defenders, Su Luo calmly pulled the ball back to avoid an outstretched leg, then flicked it past another defender. Before they could react, he had already passed the ball into the box, right to Hazard's feet. The timing was perfect, and the linesman had no reason to call it offside.

Chelsea was off to a dream start, and the game followed the same pattern as before. Even West Ham couldn't penetrate Chelsea's defense, and Burnley was left with no options. The midfield combination of Kante and Matic was rock-solid, resembling a moving wall, while Chelsea's counter-attacks were lethal.

In the 22nd minute of the first half, Su Luo dribbled the ball into the attacking third. Burnley's defenders hesitated to challenge him, wary of being outmaneuvered or leaving gaps behind. Su Luo advanced within 30 meters of the goal and decided to take a powerful shot.

Su Luo's long-range accuracy when unmarked is almost frightening, as long as he's not facing a world-class goalkeeper. Burnley's keeper, Heaton, guessed the direction correctly but underestimated the speed of the shot. The ball sliced through the air with a fierce velocity, slamming into the back of the net!

"Three goals in three games! Su Luo is on fire!" Zhan Jun, the commentator, exclaimed. Every time Su Luo scored, he silenced the critics who doubted his ability to adapt to the Premier League.

"If he keeps this up," Zhan Jun continued, "Chelsea might just go all the way in the Champions League. Maybe this time, they'll conquer Europe."

Five minutes after Su Luo's goal, Burnley's defense crumbled again. Su Luo's performance was simply too overwhelming. Even though Burnley's defenders were visibly demoralized, their forward, Ajal, refused to back down.

Ajal had his own pride. He wanted to get as close as possible to Su Luo's level. Maybe one day, he could reach the pinnacle of world football too.

After receiving the ball on the left, Ajal decided to take matters into his own hands. He dribbled from the backfield, bypassing the right midfielder with ease. With a burst of speed, he accelerated, leaving the right back trailing behind. A quick change of direction sent him cutting inside, and a clever feint allowed him to slip past the defensive midfielder, reaching the byline.

At a tight angle, Ajal fired a shot at goal, but the ball ricocheted off the goalkeeper. Lukaku, waiting in front of the goal, rushed in, aiming to powerfully head the ball into the net. But instead, it bounced off the goalkeeper's chest, deflecting back and hitting Lukaku in the face.

To everyone's surprise, the ball arced back into the net. Lukaku, momentarily stunned, didn't even realize he'd scored until his teammates swarmed him in celebration.

"Wait, what happened? Did I score?" Lukaku asked in disbelief, scratching his head.

Su Luo, watching the bizarre goal unfold, couldn't help but laugh. Lukaku truly was a magnet for football bloopers. The Premier League's "King of Clumsiness" lived up to his reputation once again.

With Lukaku's unexpected goal, Chelsea went into halftime with a 3-0 lead. In the second half, Su Luo continued his dominance, scoring another goal from close range. He then dribbled past four defenders, breaking into the penalty area before unselfishly passing the ball to Willian, who tapped it into an empty net.

The final score: 5-0.

Su Luo finished the match with 2 goals and 2 assists, firmly establishing his influence on the game. With three consecutive wins at the start of the season, Chelsea had already scored 13 goals, placing them at the top of the Premier League table.

Only three teams had won all their games so far: Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United. But with fewer goals scored by the Manchester clubs, Chelsea held the top spot.

What shocked the English media wasn't just Chelsea's strong start. It was Su Luo's blistering form. In just three games, he had racked up 7 goals and 5 assists, averaging more than 2 goals per match.

"At this rate, it's only a matter of time before Su Luo breaks the Premier League scoring record," one commentator remarked.

Harry Kane, Coutinho, Sanchez, and Aguero were all tied for second in the scoring charts with just 2 goals each. Su Luo, with 7 goals, had surged ahead.

As The Sun put it, "Since Su Luo's arrival in the Premier League, the race for the Golden Boot is already over."

While the English media was stunned by Su Luo's explosive start, Chelsea's second team traveled to Romania and secured a 2-0 away victory. With a 7-0 aggregate score, they comfortably advanced to the Champions League group stage.

Despite initially not qualifying, Chelsea's fortunes had changed dramatically, and they now found themselves in the draw for the 2016-2017 UEFA Champions League. Even Su Luo couldn't predict who their opponents would be in the group stage.
