THE CANDIDATE LIST

POV - ADIRA NYTH

---------------------

We need people for classical dance, western dance, and music competitions. I need people for the gala competition. Vante gives instructions to the teammates. He began to distribute the forms for the competition. Vante was appointed as the house leader, and his friends were there to help him. I noticed he was staring at me, but I ignored him and pretended not to know him. Since he was the campus dream boy, it's better not to involve myself with him.

As I read the forms, I was amused to learn that there are plenty of art competitions. Some items I had never even heard of. I regret the moment; in the previous year, I was in the House of Blue, which was a disaster. They were strict to freshmen like us, so I ignored them and refused to join the competition. I ditched the festival and focused on my studies. That's when Vante crushed the Blue House. If I had been there, things would have been different, I sighed.

"You look confused," I heard a honeyed voice near me. With panic, I jumped out from there. It was none other than Vante. He was too close to me. "Oh, wow, Miss Adira, if you have any doubts, you can find me in the house office," he said, smiling at me. Everyone was busy with their work, so no one noticed him, not even me. "No thanks, I can do it myself. Thank you for your concern, senpai," I coldly rejected him. Instead of a disappointed face, I saw that he was happy, seemingly unaffected by my response. "Bloody hell," I cursed, then focused on filling out my forms.

He then bent near my desk, and people might have thought he was helping me with the form. "Your handwriting is just like you... It's breathtaking and deceiving me more," he mischievously told me. In that moment, I forgot what to write, stunned to hear those sweet words. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks. "Yes, I am blushing," I admitted. The only thing I could hear was his chuckle as he walked away towards his teammates. "Damn you, Vante, you're a sweet-talking devil." I sat like that for I don't know how long. When the bells rang, I hurried to fill out my form and rushed towards my class.

Then, Amber Academy was preparing for the arts festival. I saw staff and teachers were preparing the facilities for us. It was just a matter of time before the festival, which would be held within two weeks. It was my first time joining the festival, and I decided to participate in the writing competition. When it comes to music, I can perfectly play the piano. Let's see if things become interesting or not.

The next day, we all arrived in the sorting zones. They set up a notice board of competition information and the names of chosen candidates. I saw my name listed in every single competition, and I was shocked to learn that I had to compete in a piano concert with a singer. That singer was none other than Vante.
