Chapter 6 - The Doctor

The laboratory was much like a second home, at least I had a relationship with the equipment. That was better than nothing at all. Whenever I got a chance to be out like that, I made sure to take it all in because I needed something to think about when I was locked up and had nowhere else to go.

Funny, if you think about it since the laboratory was where I was tormented the most. As a matter of fact, it was the only other place I knew asides the dungeon so it was good to be out sometimes even if it was under rather unfortunate circumstances.

"How was school?" The doctor walked in.

The voice was different. This particular one was soft and kind instead of the usual harsh voice I was used to. I was scared to look up. "It's in my head, no one is this nice here." I told myself.

"You don't want to look at me?" The doctor asked again.

I looked up for the first time since the experiment session began and I couldn't help but think I was in a dream world. She was beautiful. She had the brightest skin I had ever seen and the longest black hair. She was slim but elegant. Her nails were painted a beautiful shade of red that matched her lipstick and her head tie.

"Hel…" I was shocked at my own voice. It was completely gone, I couldn't bring myself to complete a word in her presence.

"Lay on your back!" She switched. I suddenly didn't see the kindness in her eyes anymore and it made me wonder about what had suddenly happened. "Now!"

I tried to speak but she picked me up like I was nothing and slammed my chest on the metallic table. I felt a sharp pain and a subtle noise inside of me, I needed no one to tell me that another bone had broken. I lay there gently and allowed her to do whatever she wanted. It was my back today, the first of his kind. Usually, it was my limbs as they desperately avoided my back since they needed my spine as that was the strength of my wolf they were trying to kill but I guessed that was the next course if action now. There were tired of waiting to see if my wolf was going to show up, even on the surface level from the torture that concerned only my human form.

Now, they were truly going for it, pushing everything to the edge.

I felt a sting just below my spinal cord and before I turned around to see what was going on, I noticed the sharp scissors that she had brought close to my hair. "What is that for?" I asked.

She glared at me and said nothing. I could not get up if I tried. I was too weak to fight. The first snap explained the reality of the next thing that was about to happen. A few strands of my hair fell to the floor beside me and I turned my head again. "Why?" My eyes were stained with tears again except it seemed they were only water to the pack. No one was considerate or had pity anymore.

"Don't ask me questions, young lady. I am only following the orders of the Luna."

There was nothing else to say, even if I tried. I could not understand what was wrong with my hair. I was not sure if it was now a threat but whatever it was, I was very sure I was not going to get an answer.

"The Luna knows about you getting close to her son and she is not too happy about it. Hence, the hair." She looked down at the chopped hair with an insensitive smile all over her face.

"Her….son?" I managed to ask. "Her son? I don't think so. I don't talk to anyone in school and only come here after school. I swear, I am not doing anything I am not supposed to." Tears lined my cheeks.

"Awww. Pity tears." The doctor laughter at my predicament. "The fine man with the green eyes, he is not hard to miss. Stay away from him if you know what is good for you else this is only the beginning of your troubles from the Luna seeing as you are already battling one from the Alpha."

I wept.

The boy with the green eyes had once again caused me more trouble. "I promise, I didn't want to talk to him and I told him to leave me alone and…" I was given no chance to finish my statement.

My head was yanked from the table and with a tight grip, she pulled me by the neck and threw me to the other side of the room. A part of my head was completely shaved while the other was still full with hair. The shaved part had started bleeding due to the impact from the throw after I hit the ground. I wiped it gently and tried to rub it, preventing it from bleeding out. It saddened me that I was so small, it was easier to throw me around but then again, they caused everything.

"Are you saying the Luna of the pack is lying?"

I wiped my face full of tears with my other hand. I curled up against the wall as she took quicker steps, closing the gap between us. "No, I swear. I just don't want to punished unjustly this time."

"I see." She laughed and wiped the edge of her lips. "Fine then."

I sighed in relief as she turned around, walking back towards where she came from.

"I'll tell the Luna you have called her a liar in her own pack and I am sure the Alpha would have a lot to say about that as well."

I cleared my throat, wondering how well to beg for her favor. "I'm sorry. Please, don't tell her about it. Yes, I am at fault and I will forever stay away from him."

"You're dumb." She threw a tray at me, it hit me directly on my belly. "You've always been dumb. The alpha and luna would not be happy about this just like I am not and I might just start by showing that now."

"Please." I knew the pleading would do nothing but it was okay to try. "I am sorry. I will do anything you want. Please. I will not move within where he is anymore, I promise."

She adjusted the needle before flinging the empty bottle she had drawn the content for.

"I am sorry." I said again as her eyes met mine.

I never knew what the content of the injection was nor what it did to me when they gave me or what they did to me after they injected me. I only knew one thing, it was not good for me.

My eyes closed the minute she withdrew the needle from my arm. The last thing I felt was my head hitting the floor again and the last four words I heard were, 'she is ready now' before my eyes closed into the darkness.
