The Rites Of Battle

'This floor is confusing as hell!' Currently I'm dashing off in the direction that both Hyozanryu and lizard went off in although I'm decently lost. 'There's only pillars everywhere! It's the same red dirt pillars everywhere with nothing else! I'm gonna get a damn headache if I don't get off this level.' 

Running as straight as I can while avoiding the randomly placed pillars I hear a huge impact from beneath me with the cracking and splintering of the reddish rock. "The Hell-" As the floor breaks heat leaks through the floor along with a strong light.

Attempting to grab the floor as my footing comes out from beneath me I'm able to get a grip but a rock stabs itself through my hand causing me to flinch and let go of one of my hands leading to me starting to fall. 

'Shit-' falling through the floor and onto the next level which catches me off guard as I land and my vision is almost completely blocked off with a almost inky blackness surrounds me. 'The third level! Who the hell broke through the roof to make me fall through?'

Looking around quickly I don't get my answer but as my eyes adjust to the lack of light I'm able to see two shining figures battling not far from me. One is clearly draconic and I easily recognize it as Hyozanryu or Diamond Dragon while the other is has fire covering parts of its body with in angular scales, that looks almost like armor.

Hyozanryu shines with its scale reflecting the light from the flaming dragon as they engage into hand to hand...claw to claw combat. 'I can't really help with that but I do know that we've got to hurry the hell up. While the other dragons are probably already sandwiching the main forces we've got to get rid of these stragglers..'

Turning around and moving away from the opening from the other floor I follow the slightly illuminated shards and bodies of other monsters. As I run I try to identify the monsters around. 'Fireyarou, a shit ton of fire rats what were they called? A Flamvell Guard, Flame Tiger.'

Moving ahead I see more another flame moving quickly through the darkness of this level, traveling in a erratic streak of orange it moves in the direction of the fight between Hyozanryu and the random dragon but it suddenly stops and starts making its way towards me.

As the streak makes its way towards me I'm not idle as I'm running away from it at least decently fast but after looking back a couple of time I clearly see that the light is only getting more intense as it gets closer. 'Shit face! We I've got two options fight him straight up and risk killing him like I did with the archer or I could make use of the rites.'

While I don't stop I slow down as I stat to check over my duel disk to find it still very broke but I insert the cards I've found inside of the deck box compartment. After which I look back and see that the streak has turned visable as I see a sort of monkey approaching me with fire covered forearms.

"I've found you!" The spirit yells as they approach me and stop in their tracks as I turn towards them. "I'll destroy you in the name of the great MARS!" The monkey mans fire intesifies as they approach me and clearly start to wind up for a pounce.

"Hold UP!" Shouting at the monkey as I put my hands up said monkey seems surprised at my surrendering motion. "Huh. What! I'm going to kill you in the name of MARS! you can't stop me!"

"Hold on buddy! Can you at least listen to me first!" Taking a step away from the monkey I allow it to take in my words. "I want to play a game. Its called duel monsters, you probably know it as the Ancient Battle Rites. I want to fight you using that after all isn't it way funnier than just beating each other up?"

The monkey turns his head at the first part of my sentence but nods by the end in understanding. "So you want the battle rites? That's fine! Either way I'll take your energy and give to the surpreme MARS!"

"Mars? Anyway do you agree to the battle rites?" The monkey seems way more ecstatic as cracks of fire goes of of his head and forearms. "I Flamvell Poun accept with the condition that the victor gets the full spoils of the loser!"

As he agrees something connects with my spiritual energy and I hear the powering up of something electronic and looking down I see my duel disk is on with 4000 life points on it and it looking fully operational.

'4000? I guess its GX rules then.. OR maybe 5D's since I'm facing a synchro Archtype?'
