Tomah studied Gion intently before looking away. There's no way he wouldn't know Sir Zenith when his father worked with him, so what name did he need?
Then he thought, 'Zenith' might not be their teacher's name anyway and that might be what this Gion meant.
Many teachers answered their surnames, like Miss South, in formal settings. Tomah hummed. "I guess it should be Ichiban then. There's no other name."
Gion's eyes widened. He finally got a name! "Thanks! Does it have a special pronunciation?" He didn't want to accidentally pronounce it wrongly while looking for him.
Felix turned from the boy to their teacher. He had heard the name pronounced a lot on television and it was said as it looked, but those could've been wrong pronunciations.
"Sir Zenith, how is 'Ichiban' pronounced?"
