"The grail is what does the actual summoning." said kiritsugu
"As a master, my job is to anchor the heroic spirit to this world, once it has appeared" he continued while showing the tattoo on his hand.
"And to give enough mana for it to take physical form."
Standing up kiritsugu uttered
"This should be good enough"
Looking at the woman he asked
"Iri, place the relic on the altar, and then our preparation will be complete"
After following his instruction she clenched her fists in her chest and looked at Kirtsugu with worried eyes. Who has started chanting
"Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill!"
"Repeat five times."
"But destroy when filled"
"I hereby purpose"
"My will shall create thy body and thy sword shall create my fate." his body started becoming unsteady.
"Abiding by the summon of holy grail, if thou does accede to this will and reason, answer me!"
Sweat poured from his head.
Yet after steading his body he continued
"I hereby swear."
"I will be all that is good in this eternal world"
"I will be a disposer of evil in the eternal world"
"Clad with great trinity, come forth from the circle of constraint."
"Guardian of Balance!"
With the last syllable, the circle flashed and the area fogged up.
A voice came from the fog asking
"I ask you"
The fog cleared to reveal a blonde woman, with fair skin and a slim physique. Who asked
"Are you my master?"
Looking at the green-eyed woman with the looks of a young adult kiritsugu emiya was stunned. And the scene started twisting and turning
The last thought in Shirou`s mind was
.
.
.
…
Connected to the bounded field kiritsugu observed Shirou. Looking at similar values he was quickly lost in thoughts.
< Tomorrow I have to leave this city, I have to move to Tokyo to receive the bombs for leylines as well as pick up the communicator to connect with the clock tower.>
.
.
.
…
Waking up from his slumber Shirou finds the bed beside his is neatly folded. Looking at the clock and noticing that it was already late he rushed into the bathroom.
During dinner, kiritsugu told Shirou while handing him a bunch of keys
"Shirou I am going to Tokyo due to work, I will also find information about your visions so by the time I am back it will be time for you to learn magecraft"
Shirou wanted to talk about the dream from last night and especially ask about what that ritual was and who were those women but decided against it. He didn't want to disturb his father who was going outside to work.
So the time went by and locking an empty emiya residence Shirou left for school.
.
.
.
…
In school, Shirou was greeted by an absent Shinji so he focused on class. During lunch break, he went to the roof and found that a girl was already eating there.
She was about the same age as him was wearing the school uniform and eating calmly and elegantly. She gave him a familiar vibe too as Shinji did but unlike him, there was no complicated emotion attached to her.
She saw him looking at her and turned her head causing her twin tails to twirl around. looking curiously at him she went back to eating and Shirou a little embarrassed went to the other side of the roof to eat.
School ended early and he walked home.
.
.
.
…
Studying and cooking took up little time so he went to the dojo. There looking at the shinai he heard them and felt that sense of extension again.
Dismantling them he cleaned them, when he was reconstructing them he felt as if he had remembered their structure and didn't have to think before they were finished.
Completing his cleaning he looked at the time and went to bed to welcome the visions as Kirtsugu called them.
.
.
.
…
Back in the blank space, Shirou waits for a while before his vision is pulled away. Again he missed the the handle below him but this time the handle had a blurry shadow of a shinai below it.
.
.
…
Shirou beholds the church again and as the previous time, he was pulled into the basement But this time there are 3 men but a young priest. It is the same priest he saw last time, here he is kneeling inside a magic circle made of blood.
Alone and in a dim room he starts chanting giving a creepy vibe to this place as if a witch is cooking a potion.
"Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill!" his voice resounded in the dark room.
"Repeat five times."
"But destroy when filled"
"I hereby purpose"
"My will shall create thy body and thy sword shall create my fate." the priest remained calm and unperturbed.
"Abiding by the summon of holy grail, if thou does accede to this will and reason, answer me!"
Unlike the others, there is no sign of fatigue on his face.
"Heed my words o great powers of darkness, released with the tortured souls" he continued
"Let me infuse him with my life force and wake him to the world of the living" The circle started sparkling with electricity.
"Immaculate beings appear before me!!"
With a flash of yellow light a charred black human body appeared, the face had a stitched smiling face which was white as bone.
This scene gave a good scare to Shirou who stood in silence as the darkness overtook his vision.
.
.
…
In another dream, Shirou opened his eyes above fuyuki again. It was night time and the city was illuminated by various lights leaking from street lamps as well as homes and shops. He rapidly descended into a house that he couldn't identify.
A chanting in a young male voice resounds in the darkroom
" Fill, fill, fill`er up, fill!"
"Um, destroy each when filled or something," says a young man while fiddling with something with his foot.
"Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill" he counts with his finger while saying
"All right that makes it 5 times."
"Ok," he muttered casually which Shirou found extremely baffling after witnessing people doing this ritual with utmost seriousness.
the young man wearing a black pant and a white shirt covered by a purple jacket stood across a TV. Removing his focus from the red-haired man Shirou focused on the TV and found that it was showing the news about a serial killer.
It mentioned that the victims had their blood drawn and a mysterious pentagram was drawn using it. Learning this Shirou thought of the blood the people used to draw the circle in his previous dreams and was suspicious about them.
"Maybe I went a little too far." said the man leaning in on the sofa and giving Shirou the 3rd highest shock of his life. The man he previously assumed to be sitting on the sofa was a corpse.
Looking around the room Shirou found there was another body covered in blood on the floor. A bucket filled with blood was kept beside a pentagram magic circle drawn on the floor.
Connecting this and the red toe of the young man Shirou concluded that this man had killed the 2 people and used his toes to draw a magic circle with their blood.
The young man looking at a child tied up on the floor asked
"Do you think demons exist kido?"
Ignoring the tied-up child being unable to answer he crept closer to him and said
"All papers and magazines call me a demon."
"Wouldn't it be extremely rude if demons really existed? We gotta be clear about these things."
The boy was already in tears and his eyes were filled with fear as we squirmed like a worm.
"Sup! I am uryuu ryuunoske, and i`m a demon!"
"I dunno if that `s how I should be introducing myself."
Shirou was already feeling a strange sense of anger as well as a desire to be able to help that boy. but the self-proclaimed demon continued.
"I have this, it's some old book I found in the storehouse, it looks like my ancestors were researching how to summon demons," he said showing a worn and torn notebook.
"So I gotta find out if they exist."
Walking around the boy he continued
"So kido if a demon comes out, I would be pretty dumb to have nothing for it and expect to just chat with it."
"So kiddo do you mind if I let the demon kill you?"
Witnessing the human malice and twisted nature Shirou was shocked to the core and an unknown desire to put down people like this rose in him.
