With the "ting" Kiritsugu`s back glowed and his magic circuits became visible, all left on his back was a crest glowing in blue. Looking at the emiya crest on his father`s back Shirou focused on it and found that the crest was fragmented, it was missing a lot of pieces and linked like a picture missing pieces on a puzzle.
Remembering the reason for the fragmentation of the crest being sealing designation, he thought.
< I might be average in magecraft but father I promise you that I will try my hardest to regain our family crest by achieving a high rank after I join Clock Tower.>
Melvin closed his eyes and kept striking the tuning forks against the case and the crest flashed in rhythm to the music. He opened some more containers, methodically applied multiple medicines to various portions of the crest, and opened his violin bag revealing a classy old violin.
The violin smelt like old paper`s fragrance to Shirou, the smell also contained a hint of a smell similar to a dusty attic or how the ruins of Babylon smelled but far less intense. As Melvin played the violin with expertise the crest`s flashing slowed down and followed a leisurely pace.
Lost in music and various scents they all lost track of time and sometime later Melvin placed the instrument back on the table and kiritsugu sat on the bed as the father and son waited for the verdict of the tuner. Felling their expecting gaze Melvin revealed an interested smile and said
"Mr. Emiya your crest can hardly even be called a crest anymore, the life-saving function of the crest is intact but other parts are somehow ruined by a curse."
Shirou was contemplating the curse so he didn't notice Kiritsugu motioning for Melvin to not say any further with gestures. Melvin listening to his client quickly understood that the man had kept his impending death a secret from his son. Honouring the man`s desire he continued
"There is nearly no knowledge left inside the crest, it just continues the basic activation of your family`s magecraft and some nodes for "flow manipulation"."
"So what do you want me to do? I can't repair the crest as all major parts are removed instead of damaged but I can remove the redundant and damaged parts and decrease the size by 25 percent."
Hearing this the magus killer nodded his head and said
"I want to begin the transplant of the crest from me to my son. Try to preserve the functionality of the crest as much as possible but the success of the transplant should be prioritised."
" fine let me check your son and deduce the compatibility between the crest and his wavelength. Then we can discuss the safe transfer period and other details."
After this Shirou was instructed to remove his shirt and lie on the bed, after he activated his magic circuits, parts of his face and body but mainly his arms released the gentle glow of mana. Melvin applied medicine to his body and then gave a certain type of anesthesia to the boy making him fall into a trance between sleep and consciousness.
After the boy went into the state Melvin intensified the music and Shirou's magic circuits slowly became in sync with the music and pulsed like disco lights following the music. After some time Melvin put away the violin and used a white handkerchief to wipe his seat as well as catch the blood he suddenly spit. Turning to the spellcaster beside him he said
"He is not your son by blood. am I right?"
"Yes." replied the magus killer curtly.
"He is pretty compatible with your magic crest but your crest is designed so that it prefers to be transferred within the same bloodline."
"This makes the transfer very much fatal but most of your crest is not here, most of your crest is the scraps of the original it's much worse than even a one-generation-old crest."
"My professional ethics prevent me from digging into this but your crest was not damaged but was precisely removed by a professional."
"Hence I can shave off the useless parts of your crest and rearrange it in such a way that if you ever get the remaining part of it you can just snap it back into place."
"I haven't put my magecraft inside the crest so Mr Weins you should also take that into account." said Kiritsugu with a calm tone
Melvin was shocked by this and asked
"Your magic circuits are being eroded by the same curse that damaged your crest so if you incorporate your remaining good circuits into the crest then you will die within 3 years. Do you know this?"
Kiritsugu just nodded his head with the same calm emotion, pointed toward Shirou and said
"I would leave everything to my son instead."
Understanding the stubbornness in the man Melvin`s eyes lost their playfulness for an instant before being filled with interest and curiosity. He said
"If you want to add your parts to the crest then I could use your magic circuits to repair the crest and make it easier for for your son to accept it."
After the affirmative response from Kiritsugu, the tuner took out a notebook and started writing a lot of instructions before giving it to Kiritsugu. Then he said
"I would need 4 appointments to stabilize and fragmentise your crest to prepare it for transplant. Also, take these medicines and give them to Shirou as prescribed to increase the chances of success on transplant."

…
The father and son pair walked out of the Fuyuki airport side by side. The 2 days after 1st meeting with Melvin, Kiritsugu regularly met him daily and they spent time optimizing the crest. In the remaining time, the older emiya tried to analyse the mental condition of his son but was shocked as well as distressed to find that first blood had minimal effect on the psyche of his son.
Here he understood the horror of the visions, he contemplated the necessity of preventing his son from sharing his visions. After talking with Altair and independence research he learnt that more prophesy and future sights showed possibilities and the more they are shared the higher their chances of occurring becomes. He thought
After hearing the remaining visions from Shirou he had completely broken down as it had confirmed that his sacrifice had been in vain as the next holy grail war occurred very soon proving his inability to stop the tragedy by destroying the grail.
After steeling his heart he had coldly analyzed the facts and even he was off put by the deaths his son had received at the hands of servants, hence feeling his determination to severely increase Shirou's training.
By the time he woke up from all the plans to teach Shirou various things, he found that they were already in front of Emiya's residence and he showed a slight smile as they walked into their home.
After having a filling dinner kiritsugu contacted the Fujimura family as Shirou went to practise his magecraft and swordsmanship. Having a happy meal while discussing the details of circuit transfer Shirou took the medicines suggested by Melvin and wearing his mystic codes he fell asleep.

....
Shirou woke up in the void and then followed the procedure that has now become a habit. In a swirl of flashing lights, his vision cracked and transferred.
As his vision stabilized Shirou saw a beautiful vision of the sky through a window and an intoxicating smell of blood greeted him as his senses synchronized. he felt his body in a hypersensitive state compared to other times.
Is vision flashed as a black blur swung across the corridor into the room he was in. The snake-like agility, the intoxicating smell of blood, and the black and purple blur let him instantly identify the opponent.
He instantly recognized the eye-folded woman moving with elegance and grace to be the servant rider. He still found her strikes bewitchingly beautiful as his body dodged them. Easily overpowered he was forced to block a kick by crossing his arms easily snapping his bones and making him feel the searing pain.
Even with the pain, Shirou recorded her movement in his mind with an unexplainable desire to one day cut her arm off as elegantly as she killed him last time. As he flew through the room his back collided with the glass and left many fine cut on his body as he moved past the broken window.
...….
(A/N: so we have the crest stuff explained here and yeah kiritsugu would die earlier here simply because it should be logical no, if we do an organ transplant in an already weakening patient it makes him weaker hence decreasing his lifespan. And Shirou is about to be murdered again.)
