Chapter 42: Dollhouse
Shirou woke up in the void before his vision. Looking around he observed the area and was able to determine the reason for the flickering clouds on the horizon was flames. He was capable of perceiving the outlines of red burning flames and pulsating flares being released from them.
His vision began twisting and turning and he appeared in his future self. Shirou was wearing his usual clothes and by the time he scanned the surroundings, his attention was pulled to the little girl sitting on his lap.
He was in the same room as the last vision. This was Illiya`s room in the Enizbern castle. As shirou analyzed the room he saw childish decorations making him doubt his dad`s statement about the girl's real age. Shirou was pulled out of his stunned silence when his little girl-looking elder sister said
"Would you please become my servant brother?
Looking at the sweet smile and pleading eyes of the girl shirou felt an icy chill flow through his body. He remembered how this same girl had him dismembered by her servants and still had a smile on her face.
Strangely he didn't feel any blame for her and she said
"Now answer will you be with me..?" Looking at her expectant eyes his body replied
"…All right. I'll be your familiar." hearing this she began sparkling with joy and said with closed eyes.
"Now we will be together forever big brother."
Watching the girl jumping around for joy shirou felt strange. Shirou realised that a strange feeling was coming from his body, he was feeling sleepy and tired as if a weight was present on his back. In panic, he called out to the girl and she cheerfully replied
"Ohh what is it shirou, is it the ropes? I will take them away right away."
As his body was trying to talk with her Shirou noticed the smile on her face it was very similar to the one she had when she murdered him the 1st time. Noticing this he mentally prepared himself to gather as much information as he could.
As he was looking at the cruel smile on the previously cheerful girl he understood that he had been had, smiling at his she said
"Yeah, I know everything about you now. You have made a contract with me now, you can't hide anything. Hehee"
Shirou felt his body struggling while trying to stand up. He didn't feel any pressure of magical energy binding him but he still couldn't stand up. He said
"Iliay what have you done..?"
After talking with her he learnt that he was tricked into signing a magical contract with her and was now forced to become her familiar or slave. He was feeling hurt because he had lied to her
She said in an overly sweet voice making the atmosphere straight out of horror stories
"It is yourself that is the reason, brother. You are so kind to hurt yourself for my sake."
"But onii-chan you didn't answer with vigour last time, so answer again WILL…YOU….BE…MINE?"
Shirou suffered more mental torture under his psychotic sister, and along with the pain of command, he learnt the feeling of being a prisoner in his own body. He watched helplessly as Illya played with him like a parrot and later extracted his soul and put it in a homunculus body saying.
"it won't matter if this vessel breaks"
He listens to the talk of the girl and her two maids, he learns that Illiya is the successor of the Einzbern family`s miracle. He learns that illiya is considered a success whereas the maids are considered failures for some reason. Then he realised the existence of the mystic code called dress of the heavens and some heaven`s feel rituals.
Before his consciousness fades inside the doll's body he is trapped in he hears the mention of Rin and Saber breaking into the Einzberg family mansion for his rescue. Then as his consciousness fades the words
"Shirou emiya your soul is now mine" echoes in his mind and he also feels flattered due to the attempt of Rin and Saber to rescue him even when they have to fight Bersker.

Shirou woke up without any pain in his body. Due to repeated deaths his pain tolerance has increased and hence he was fine even when his origin went on a rampage. Shirou and kiritsugu had concluded that his origin was trying to heal his injured body with the swords, kiritsugu said that shirou could have a very energy-efficient form of healing ability if he could control the manifestation of his origin.
Thinking about his progress with the basic curse of self-healing, shirou estimated it would be better if he tried to control his origin. Thinking of this he went to make breakfast with a paper full of diagrams and a conspicuous magic circle in the centre.
After months of trial, this is the 1st and most simple ward that shirou was able to design for the emiya residence. During the breakfast shirou elaborated his vision to his father and watched as his parent`s face went ashen progressively.
With a sigh filled with complicated emotions kiritsugu didn't comment or even try to analyse the vision, he ate the breakfast with tense silence and then locked himself inside the room. Looking at the man`s expression shirou gave him space.
Inside the room, Kiritsugu Emiya was on the brink of despair. He thought
After some time he released a breath and thought.
< I should wake up from my delusion, it is likely the result of my sending the proof of holy grail war and Altair using his family name to deliver the prophecy to the Enizbern family. I planned to help my daughter as at least in this way they would take care of her. She would not be discarded as useless anymore because the family would be burdened a lot if they had to produce another successor before the war. >
As kiritsugu wallowed in his self-pity over his misunderstanding shirou went to the attic lifted the rug and uncovered the wooden board acting as the floor. This floor used to be made of planks like other places but shirou had them removed during the renovation of the shed and had this large board replace them as the floor.
He began completing the semi-carved magic circle on the floor and after he finished it there was a disturbance in the ambient mana in the area. The sigils grooved on the outer wall of emiya residence began resonating with the magic circle and a basic ward took shape over the building.
Now it was worthy of being called the lowest-class workshop among magus. This time passed by in a trance and it was already a year from the 4th holy grail war`s end. Shirou and kiritsugu had visited Melvin once more during this time and he had declared that the compatibility between shirou and emiya crest was beyond good.
He proclaimed that if shirou had the emiya bloodline then he could have easily transferred the crest in 2 steps. But now shirou would need to be transmitted in 10 pieces. This time it took 4 days for shirou to be acquainted with the crest piece and was able to go to school.
The week after resulting from England shirou fell asleep on the plane. kiritsugu tried to wake him but he didn't wake up, and after there were some minute changes in his face like the twitching of jaws his father immediately stopped trying to wake him up.
Kiritsugu concluded that shirou was having a vision and was very worried. He had used most of his remaining circuits to the family crest and within this year the grail curse had destroyed some circuits.
The magus killer had a severe lack of usable magic circuits making use of mass hypnosis impossible. He began to make plans on how to control the situation in case of the activation of the boy`s origin.

Shirou was picked up from the void by the familiar swirl of light and his vision cleared inside a room. Looking around he concluded that it was currently night and he was in the emiya residence`s living room.
The sound of bone-pounding wood gave him a sense of deja vu, the screeches and the presence of the adult Rin brought him to the realisation that this scene was from the vision where he was killed by sabre after she returned from fighting caster.
(A/N: And we have cleared a lot of details and also seen the true face of Iliya for the crazy bitch she is. Now in this scene, there were scenes of IIlya playing house with the captured shirou and also raping him which I took the liberty of skipping and following the modified vn.
I mean I don't want to write about mc being raped by his Loli elder sister or experiencing SA from the future when he is 8 years old at present. I am a lot of things but PDF is not one of them, no one here I hope is a follower of Bluebeard.
Plus a comment made me remember that I forgot to put a definition to the savant syndrome. It is like putting all of the stat points into only one fucking stat, for example, you might be a loser in everything but once you hold a brush and begin painting you become a genius on the level of a xianxia protagonist.
