Though this may not have been his first time dealing with a basic curse, it was certainly his first dealing with a wolf curse.
At that moment, he was standing before a manifestation of the ill emotions which fluctuated due to wolves; this meant that it had but only the urge which it had been born with.
" Since it's a basic curse, it definitely has less intelligence." He thought, slowly backing away.
The wolf curse quickly charged towards him, its jaws widening in an attempt to bite.
He stood there, trembling slightly as he heaved a deep breath; he was calmed a little as he moved to the side, slashing at the creature while still in motion.
The tips grazed against the curse's hard skin and began to cut deeper as they both went opposite ways.
He turned around, just as quickly as the beast, sliding his legs hard against the floor as he tried to maintain his balance; the beast was a little faster than him, so he had to increase his reflexes to keep up.
Blood slowly began to trail out from the side of the wolf's body; the blood was slightly colored black, just a little darker than that of a person.
Both of his swords had made contact and had slight blood stains on their tips.
As the wolf came charging towards him once again, he quickly pointed out his right-handed sword towards it as soon as it leaped forward; the creature's mouth was wide open at the time.
The tip of the sword was slightly projected forward, allowing for it to pierce into the wolf curse's upper jaw.
His hand trembled on impact and he had to stomp his foot hard on the floor in order to ensure his victory in their tussle.
He was pushed forward by the wolf as it howled at the pain which it felt.
The momentum, strength, and weight of the wolf were all weighing down on him, prompting him to quickly stab its skull with the other sword.
It was quickly brought down and pinned against the ground, struggling relentlessly as its life slowly drained away.
He drew out his sword and stabbed it a couple more times before it finally gave up and turned into white dust particles.
*Clap* *clap* *clap*
" Well done lord fifth, it seems you managed to defeat the same level creature with far less time this time."
" The last one had stamina are strength, this one had speed and far less strength compared, though its stamina is not something I can ascertain."
The man's long resounding round of applause finally came to a pause as he nodded his head slightly before the boy.
" Thank you for your gracious time." He said, doing the same thing as the man.
Just then, the man pulled him slightly closer and whispered something into his ear.
His eyes widened instantly as he stepped back slightly in shock, his fingers slightly over his lips as he tried not to gasp.
" Well then young man, how about we begin testing how your training can take you?"
He instantly nodded his head at the offer, a slight mischievous grin appearing on his face.
*******
Later that day, he returned to his room, huffing and panting as he held onto his right arm.
" Who knew that facing an advanced curse would prove so difficult even after seventy-five percent of its powers had been sealed."
He had returned from his training in pretty bad shape; his right arm had been dislocated and his entire body was covered in bruises; the consequences of his agreement to face an advanced curse.
He was quickly done with his bath and as slowly folded his hair, trying to dry it, he paused for a moment.
A sense of accomplishment hit as he slowly looked at every visible part of his body; his masculinity was finally beginning to show and he had a decent amount of rapid growth to add to it.
" If only I was a bit more handsome." He thought, staring at the mirror.
His eyes were grayish with a hint of golden while his jaw was slightly elongated; a major factor in his masculine appearance
His skin was also slightly red, but not to a state of abnormality with eyelashes so long that they looked artificial.
It was already night anyway so he decided to put on his usual night outfit; a t-shaped wrapped front garment with square sleeves; popularly known as a yukata.
Just as he was about to sit down peacefully and pen down another successful day with more additions to his grand plan, a knock came on his door.
" Master Nexus, your mother seeks your presence."
He froze for a moment after hearing that as he slowly looked towards the door; the last person he wanted to hear off and just when he was about to relax for the moment.
" B-be there in a... minute."
His voice was trembling as he barely managed to mount those words.
Reluctant to get up from the chair, he only rushed to the door a few seconds later.
The cruel-looking maid was outside waiting for him, looking away as soon as he entered like he was the worst sight she had ever seen.
She slowly walked away without even a glimpse at him.
" Follow me then."
" What's her problem?" He thought, slowly trailing behind her.
He was trembling in fear with nothing but the possible reasons why his mother would seek his presence in mind.
His current reaction wasn't his fault; there were many characters and many he couldn't remember but Olivia was certainly one of those he couldn't forget.
She wasn't from any major family or clan but the cruel upbringing she suffered was what fueled her up to the point she currently was.
After a few more steps and through the shoji, he was left standing before his greatest fear at that moment.
Olivia lay on her knees at the end of the huge room which looked similar to a dojo, there was a fireplace and a white strange statue behind her.
He tried to turn away his gaze as his eyes met those green piercing daggers for what he could count as the fifth time.
He instantly fell to his knees, bowing his head to the ground as he spoke,
" Good evening Mother."
His heart was pounding and for a second he felt a gush of wind hit him.
His heart instantly increased and he tried as much as possible not to look up; no one needed to tell him what was originating the strong presence he felt next to him.
" I've been watching you train for a while, and honestly, you feel pathetic."
