19: Training With Adira.

His younger sister turned out to be a better swordswoman than he had imagined; her swings all came with the right amount of precision and power but he couldn't deny the fact that he was holding back against her.

In terms of raw physical proficiency, he was years better than her but it would be an entirely different question if she was to decide on using her visual class specification.

Olivia's ability to see a person's strengths and weaknesses was only a basic statement of what her ability was able to do; she could easily detect a person's actions before they could even move.

But of course, her daughter wasn't at that stage of proficiency yet but nonetheless, it was no reason to look down on the prodigy's abilities.

She was moving as quickly as she could, trying to keep up with her brother's pace while blocking and parrying his attacks in an attempt for a counterattack.

" Well, it seems that you're as great as I heard– fine with the sword and on your feet as well. Being able to keep up with me wasn't something I was expecting from you." He applauded, throwing a smile towards her.

" Thank you." She said, bowing her head slightly before him.

" In that case, I guess I'll see you later then." He said, quickly turning around and leaving.

He was feeling strangely fatigued from all the swinging he had been doing for the last thirty-plus minutes with his sister.

" Are we..." She stopped mid-sentence, prompting her brother's attention, " I never thought we would have to end the session so soon."

" Ehh... We'll continue when I'm back... Just give me a moment to get a few things ready."

He quickly ran off immediately after making the excuse and it took a few minutes before he finally arrived in his room.

He held onto the frame of the door, leaning forward as he continued to breathe heavily while looking around his room.

" Damnit, how can I keep her busy without actually stressing myself out." He thought, slowly walking forward.

He went round searching through every inch and corner of the room until he came across a couple of blank white sheets of paper.

He glanced at them for a moment, wondering what it was that could have caught his attention about them but it was then that an idea came to him.

" I could get her to incorporate the art of muscle memory from the training she's undergone ever since the day she was deemed grown enough to wield a weapon. I don't care what type of weapon, clearly a sword." He thought, trying to clear himself of every doubt he had.

" But she seemed quite good with her fan blades although they were almost the same length as her. It's not an act even considered by the mystic clan, but I could convince her since she's still quite naive."

With that, he sprang up from the floor and ran straight towards the room's exit, his legs spacing out quicker each step.

It wasn't long before he arrived at their training ground once more with a brush and the blank papers in his hand.

" Alright then Adira, it's time for us to begin the next training session?" He said, laying down the materials, "What type of training have you been going through ever since you started training? I know you're wondering why I'm asking, but it's essential for choosing the path our training is going to take."

He hesitated with her answer, looking over at the blank sheets of paper, board, and brush that he had with him but couldn't process what he could want to do with them.

" Basic swordsmanship." She replied.

He too paused for a moment, trying to put his head around her reply before saying another word; though she was young, he knew better than anyone what sort of rigorous training she had been going through from the day she turned five.

The Mystic clan's methods were a bit much for young aspiring exorcists but it wasn't to a point where it would be considered barbaric.

The type of training one received varied according to their age and they weren't allowed to face curses until a year after their weapon reception; this is when they are considered masterful enough with their inherited weapons.

Soul weapons were weapons are equipments bound to one's Soul and only through the mastery of the process of said person's soul could they know the rightful way for which they could use said weapons, thus the passives with which they came with.

" Well, can you remember every training you've had with your inherited weapons, it's doesn't have to be in detail, a simple and short demonstration should do."

" Okay." She said softly before slowly taking a stance as her inherited weapon instantly appeared within the palm of her right hand.

She spun the fan blades for a moment before slowly moving forward while turning around in slight rhythmic motions.

It was only for a few seconds but her actions had left Nexus completely speechless; every act she had just performed came in smooth motion like she had been practicing it her entire life.

" You did great. So... how about you try again but this time try imagining a longer training session you once had." He said, slowly placing his hand on his chin, " Oh, I know, how about the one we just had."

She nodded her head and quickly got into action once more and for what Nexus was doing; he was drawing, every significant moment of what his sister was just exhibiting.

Though drawing and writing were somewhat his hobbies, his true intentions at that moment couldn't really be said.
