Hades did not hide his actions in the slightest.
In other words, the moment Hades left the core of the earth, all the gods knew exactly what was happening.
"The World Chain?"
"How is that possible..."
"How could Hades take the last World Chain?"
"This..."
The gods were utterly bewildered, their faces filled with disbelief.
After all, in the beginning, the World Chain was not very well-known, which wasn't surprising. However, as Hades gradually began to obtain one World Chain after another, things changed.
From that point on, the World Chain became something the gods understood, especially the last one.
Likewise, the gods had come to know this last World Chain very well, and for this reason, in their eyes, it was almost impossible for anyone to obtain it. After all, from any perspective, it seemed utterly unrealistic.
It was nearly impossible for Hades to obtain that last World Chain.
The reason was simple.
That chain was located in the core of the earth, the domain of the Earth Goddess. In that place, no god, no matter who they were, would dare take it. Even Hades, even the King of the Underworld, even that nearly unparalleled figure among the third generation of divine kings, should not have had the right to do so!
That was the truth.
There was no need for jokes; this was a solid fact among the gods.
No matter how powerful Hades was, the fact remained.
Because, compared to the Earth Goddess, he was insignificant.
Yet...
The fact had already occurred, and it had happened right before their eyes. What was going on? Or rather, what was this all about?
This...
This was what baffled the gods the most. They couldn't imagine or understand the situation at all.
Why? Or rather, why did the Earth Goddess allow Hades to take the last World Chain?
This was the most puzzling matter.
It wasn't a joke. Even if the Earth Goddess wasn't there, the moment Hades set foot in her domain, it would only take a single thought for her to return. Yet, despite that, the World Chain still fell into Hades' hands.
This was truly bizarre.
How had Hades managed to do it? Or rather...
What was the Earth Goddess doing? Why did she let Hades take the World Chain? Could it be that the Earth Goddess had weakened to such an extent?
These questions filled the minds of the gods, leading them to countless thoughts. Each one of them began pondering whether these events could continue and what the outcome would be.
Some, more daring than others, had already begun exploring the core of the earth. They didn't know what the outcome would be, but they were extremely excited—perhaps even overly excited.
However...
They would pay a price for their excitement, that much was certain. As for what lay beyond that? It was anyone's guess.
There's a saying: Good advice is wasted on the reckless.
Gods, after all, are beings extremely centered on themselves. Now, what choices would they make? That's something no one could predict.
Besides, Hades had no interest in warning them. Persuading them was of no benefit to him and wasn't something he cared about.
In the Heavenly Realm!!!
Zeus' expression was sharp, and in a low voice, he said, "How did Hades manage it? No, no... It's not about how Hades did it. The real question is, what was she doing?"
Zeus saw it clearly.
This matter was definitely not as simple as Hades doing something. The real key lay with her—that Earth Goddess. What exactly was she doing? Was she caught in a weakened state, allowing Hades to seize the moment?
Did Hades take the World Chain?
That was the crux of the matter!
As for going into the earth's core to see for himself?
Heh...
Zeus had no such thought. First of all, Zeus wasn't an idiot, and he was well aware that Hades had seized this opportunity to take the last World Chain. Anyone who dared enter that place recklessly now? They'd likely not even know how they died. Did anyone really think it was easy to get that World Chain?
Don't kid yourself!
If it were that easy, the situation would be much too simple.
Regardless...
This matter would only happen once and never again. For Hades, and for the other gods, the same was true. In other words, it was now laid bare for everyone to see.
Zeus calmed his inner thoughts and muttered to himself, "By my estimation, the authority will soon be transferred to me. Everything... is finally about to begin."
Zeus clenched his fists.
He knew that the time had come. He didn't fully trust Prometheus, after all.
Indeed...
Prometheus and Metis had been preparing something between them, and Zeus wasn't completely in the dark about it. However, Zeus knew that if he wanted to escape the shackles of fate, his own preparations were the best way forward.
Since that was the case, he just needed to be ready.
Go with the flow!
That was Zeus' plan. In his view, this was the best approach. As for whether he would fail or not? Whether he would ultimately fail?
Zeus was filled with absolute confidence. He believed he would succeed! Wasn't that a given?
Or, put another way...
If he couldn't even do this, then it would be better to die. Zeus had always held this mindset—if he couldn't accomplish even this, he might as well end it all.
He had made enough preparations. If he still failed in the end, well, if that were the case, then it might truly be time to call it quits.
Zeus was now preparing, waiting for the transfer of power.
The other gods were doing the same, silently waiting for the true advent of the next era of creation!
