Chapter 379: His and Her Dialogue! This Game Has Only Just Begun!!!

The laws of the universe!

It's never as simple as possessing a fragment of a law and then being able to fully master it. Ultimately, to harness a law to its full extent and continuously improve requires a perfect understanding of it!

The laws are like a perfect road. You need to grasp the flawless version of the law for it to be truly valuable. Otherwise, if the law is incomplete, the price you pay to complete it can be catastrophic.

This truth!

Is self-evident. Just thinking about the cost involved makes it clear how terrifying that price could be.

Hades understood this well. The devouring and sealing laws contained within the dark star would, over time, gradually perfect themselves. As they reached perfection, they would become stronger.

Under such circumstances.

When the laws are fully completed, only then can true progress be made.

Or rather!

Only after they are perfected can they be elevated. The dark star, as a divine artifact that accompanied Hades, had limitless potential for growth. This potential, in a way, was the most important thing.

Hades, maintaining his calm, put away the dark star and prepared to leave.

But!

In that instant, a faint figure gradually appeared. She stood quietly at Hades' side, barely visible.

Hades, as if he hadn't seen the figure, continued walking toward the edge of the Earth's core.

"Hades," she whispered softly, "You've come here at this time. Do you know what I intend to do?"

Hades replied calmly, "I have a good idea of your intentions. After all, in this world of mythology, once something is known by someone, it naturally becomes known to others."

"I see."

She understood everything.

It wasn't about divining the future or using divine power to pry into fate.

To put it accurately!

The ancient gods were now in a miserable state. Due to the actions of the earth goddess, the world of mythology had sealed off nearly all the ancient gods. Even when they left their domains, their power was limited to that of god-kings at best.

As for using great divine power to influence everything else, that was impossible.

It was simply unrealistic!

All of this was clear. Hades knew this well, and it was why he chose this opportune moment.

In fact.

Even Hades, at first, hadn't anticipated that things would be this easy. The situation had played out in a way he hadn't expected.

However!

The result remained the same. Hades had found the most appropriate time, or rather, everything had gone so smoothly that even he didn't quite know how to react.

"Taking the final world chain at this time, Hades, you know much. You must realize what's about to unfold in this era."

"A game."

Hades replied calmly, "You've made your choice. This game has already lost its intrigue. Since that's the case, you should just continue to walk down the path you've chosen."

Hades' voice was steady, as though none of this mattered to him in the slightest.

Indeed!

This was simply Hades' nature. He didn't care about these things.

To him, this was just a game, a game that he found interesting and exciting. This was undeniable. In this context.

Would the game continue?

Clearly!

Hades wasn't particularly concerned with success or failure. What mattered more to him was whether the game could be played to its fullest.

Or rather!

What Hades cared about was whether he could continue to enjoy this game. That was what mattered most to him.

"So." She continued, "Hades, will you try to stop me?"

"I have no such intention," Hades shook his head. "In this game, whether it's your actions or those of the other gods, I don't care, nor will I ever care."

Hades remained composed. Why would he choose to intervene?

After all!

Those in power stay outside the chessboard. It's the pieces on the board, the subordinates, who handle the moves. If the pieces fail to navigate the game properly.

Then!

It all becomes meaningless.

Hades had absolute confidence that his underworld gods would win this game.

Listening to Hades, she fell into a brief silence. After a moment of thought, she said nothing more and disappeared.

She hadn't wanted Hades to take the final world chain.

But!

Hades had chosen the timing and the opportunity so well that even she couldn't stop him at that moment.

Since that was the case.

There was no need to disgrace herself by attempting something futile. What needed to be done had already been done, and what shouldn't be done should not lead to such disgrace.

She still had the dignity and presence befitting her status.

Hades left the Earth's core. Just like that, he took the final world chain. Of all the world chains, this one had been the hardest to obtain.

However!

Hades had taken this chain so peacefully, simply and quietly, without any disruptions or commotion.

And that was enough.

Hades departed.

As she watched Hades' back, she pondered for a moment, then softly murmured, "Hades, how did you know all of this? Or rather! What preparations have you made?"

She only briefly reflected.

Then.

She set aside those thoughts—it didn't matter in the end.

Her demeanor was calm, and she maintained an endless tranquility.

Clearly!

It was a trivial matter.

It was all insignificant. Whether Hades knew or not, things would still play out as they were destined to. This was the reality!

So what if Hades had achieved all this?

This was simply fact!

From her perspective, even if Hades had made some preparations or taken some action, it didn't change the outcome. This was just the beginning.

This game had only just begun.
