Chapter 3: Surviving in the Trash and Building the Future

Wei's stomach growled loudly, a brutal reminder of his humanity. It was the third day since he had awakened in this scrapyard world, and hunger was starting to take its toll. He was already exhausted, injured, and in desperate need of energy to keep going.

Walking among the debris, his eyes caught sight of something promising—a pile of broken crates marked with the Hutt Cartel logo—likely smuggled supplies discarded after a territorial skirmish. He approached cautiously, rummaging through the boxes.

Item Found: T-47 Nutritional Ration (Dehydrated) x2

Properties: Basic food used by smugglers. Must be mixed with water for safe consumption.

Wei smiled in relief but quickly realized another problem: he had no water. He scoured the area desperately until he spotted a damaged spaceship cooling unit. Inside was a small reservoir of condensed water.

"Let's hope this doesn't kill me…" he muttered, collecting the water in a curved piece of metal he had improvised as a bowl.

He opened the crafting system and built a small fire using cables and flammable scrap. In no time, he was mixing the ration with the warmed water, creating something that was at least edible.

Energy Restored.

He sighed as he ate, trying to ignore the awful taste of the ration. "Not exactly a meal fit for a pro gamer, but it'll do."

With his stomach no longer empty, he opened the HUD to review his next mission.

Exploring the Horizon

The massive ship in the distance was still his best bet. He knew that in worlds like this, where the debris of galactic wars was dumped, larger ships often held valuable treasures—technology, energy, and possibly something that could help him escape this cursed planet.

Reaching the broken hull, he found a narrow entryway leading inside. The interior was dark and reeked of burnt metal. His instincts warned of potential dangers, but curiosity and the need for resources forced him to press on.

Objective: Locate the ship's data core.

The ship was full of destroyed compartments and dead systems. Then, something caught his attention—a room with faintly flickering holograms. He approached and found a dust-covered command table. Using his analysis ability, he attempted to activate the system.

The system projected a blue hologram with a list of schematics:

From a dark corner emerged an old security droid, still functional despite its rust-covered body. Its weapons, however, gleamed threateningly.

"Great… more problems."

Wei dove behind a piece of metal as the droid fired a volley of laser blasts. Quickly opening his HUD, he searched for something that could help him.

Required Resources: Scrap Metal x2, Chemical Fuel x1.

He had the necessary materials. Within seconds, he crafted the grenade and hurled it at the droid. The explosion damaged one of the droid's arms, but it was still operational.

"Not enough firepower…" Wei muttered, frantically searching for something useful. That's when he spotted a glowing circuit piece on the ground.

Description: Can be used to overcharge devices or improvised weapons.

He quickly integrated the circuit into his knife using the system. The blade glowed with blue energy, resembling a crude lightsaber.

"Time to finish this."

Wei dashed forward, dodging the droid's shots. With a leap, he drove the energized knife into the droid's core. The machine let out a metallic screech before shutting down completely.

Wei breathed heavily, feeling the weight of victory.

Building the Future

With the materials in hand, he returned to the command room and got to work. His first choice was the Handheld Blaster (Level 1). It was a simple weapon but far superior to his makeshift knife.
