"Standard approaches won't work," Elio muttered, feeling the hybrid's agreement through their shared consciousness. "The field adapts too quickly, dispersing reactions before they gain momentum."

The tentacles wove complex patterns in response, no longer focusing on creating direct chemical reactions but instead introducing elements that would interact with the energy field itself. Rather than fighting against the ogres' resonance network, they were integrating their own reactions into it, using the enemy's strength as a conduit.
