After Yushi and Su Xue'er left, Shen Yueru clenched her fists. "Yun Chuxue, why have you come back?" she muttered through gritted teeth.
Earlier, on the other side of the Spirit Master Hall, Yun Ziqi sat leisurely sipping tea while Shen Yueru examined Su Xue'er's handwriting from the school. Her eyes grew sharper with each passing moment.
Yun Ziqi casually asked Shen Yueru, "Do you see anything? Doesn't it look like Yun Chuxue's writing?"
Shen Yueru instantly crushed the paper, her voice filled with venom. "It's more than just similar."
"Should we tell the junior brother?" Yun Ziqi inquired.
"Not yet. Don't tell senior brother for now."
"Why? What are you planning?" Yun Ziqi asked, puzzled.
"Don't worry about it. I won't let her die. I need to find out why she changed her appearance and why she's trying to take what's mine. I'll make her life a living hell," Shen Yueru's eyes were filled with murderous intent.
Shen Yueru stood up, her expression icy. Yun Ziqi, looking indifferent, remarked, "Maybe it's just a coincidence, someone with similar handwriting."
Shen Yueru chuckled darkly.
At the Grand Master's Mansion
Su Xue'er sat down while Yushi sat behind her, channeling his spiritual energy into her body. The golden spiritual energy swirled around her, making her feel relaxed.
"Now slowly gather the spiritual energy into your spirit sea," Yushi instructed.
Su Xue'er followed his instructions.
"Take your time, this process needs to be gradual," Yushi reminded her.
After a while, Su Xue'er felt the spiritual energy from all over her body slowly converging into her spirit sea. She bit her lip, already drenched in sweat, a faint fragrance lingering in the room.
Hours passed, and by evening, Su Xue'er's face was pale, but she persevered. At that moment, faint electric sparks appeared around her. The sparks grew rapidly, all converging into her body.
Su Xue'er felt immense pain as the spiritual energy gathered in her spirit sea. Yushi had never seen such a vast amount of spiritual energy during the initial gathering phase.
"Xue'er, can you hold on? If not, I'll help you release it," Yushi asked, concerned.
"I can," Su Xue'er weakly responded, barely able to speak.
Seeing her determination, Yushi hesitated but decided to assist her. Just as he was about to help, the electric sparks suddenly coalesced, and Su Xue'er screamed in pain before passing out in Yushi's arms.
"Xue'er! Xue'er!" Yushi called out anxiously, gently holding her hand. Despite the quick process, he handled her with care.
"It's successfully gathered," Yushi said joyfully, seeing the spiritual energy stabilize. Su Xue'er's face was covered in sweat, her clothes soaked, revealing her curvaceous figure, but Yushi paid no attention to that.
He gently placed her on the bed and snapped his fingers.
In less than a moment, a voice came from the doorway.
"Master, what are your orders?" the dark guard asked respectfully.
"Inform Qu Qi to drop everything. Tomorrow morning, arrange for a few maidservants to attend to this room. Prepare a bath and buy the best clothes in the continent, called Yulan Bi'an," Yushi commanded.
"Understood."
What Yushi didn't reveal was the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. The spiritual energy that could injure a peak Spirit God expert was no ordinary force.
The Next Morning
Su Xue'er woke up feeling sore all over. As she slowly sat up, she noticed a maid standing at the door.
"Who are you?" Su Xue'er asked.
"We were sent by the Grand Master to attend to you," the maid replied, pointing to the bath. "Miss, please."
Confused, Su Xue'er allowed the maid to guide her, helping her undress, bathe, and dress in new clothes.
Wearing the Yulan Bi'an dress, Su Xue'er looked stunning, leaving the maid speechless.
"She truly looks like a celestial being! The Grand Master is so fortunate to have someone like her," the maid exclaimed.
"I..." Su Xue'er started to say, but the maid continued, "If the Grand Master sees you in this dress, he'll be very pleased."
"I heard this dress is the best on the continent, worth tens of thousands of gold coins. Even the crystal shoes are made from special materials..."
Su Xue'er was shocked, realizing how expensive the dress was.
As the maids continued their chatter, Su Xue'er left the room and headed towards Yushi's study.
Thump, thump, thump...
Yushi, busy with official documents, heard the footsteps and put down the stack of files, looking towards the door.
As the door opened, a beautiful girl in a jade-blue dress stepped in, looking like a celestial being, pure and graceful.
"Thank you, Yushi," Su Xue'er said.
Yushi, lost in her beauty, snapped back to reality upon hearing her voice.
"As long as you like it," Yushi replied, pointing to a chair on his left. "Please, sit here."
"Okay." Su Xue'er walked over and sat down.
Yushi watched her closely as she moved, frowning slightly but saying nothing.
Looking out the window, he snapped his fingers again, and a figure in black appeared outside.
"Deal with it," Yushi ordered.
The figure vanished instantly.
"What are you doing?" Su Xue'er asked, puzzled.
"Just handling some matters," Yushi replied calmly.
"Yushi, I'm not a fool," Su Xue'er said seriously.
Is she that smart? Did she figure it out?
"It's really nothing," Yushi insisted firmly.
"But, there's no need to go to such extremes for a casual remark, right?" Su Xue'er questioned, trying to understand his actions.
"Xue'er, when people make mistakes, they have to take responsibility."
"So that's why you're the top on the continent. Is that right?" Su Xue'er's expression turned cold.
"..."
Su Xue'er couldn't understand why Yushi did what he did. She wanted to understand, wanted him to explain, but she didn't speak, and Yushi didn't grasp her thoughts.
They sat in silence, the minutes ticking by.
Just as Su Xue'er was about to speak, Yushi interrupted, suppressing his anger. He didn't want to lash out at her.
"Xue'er, the Continental Spirit Master Elite Tournament is in three years. I've already signed you up," he said gently, catching her off guard.
"Okay," Su Xue'er responded coolly, which left Yushi feeling a bit disheartened.
Su Xue'er stood up, her delicate features radiating a melancholic beauty.
"I'm sorry for what I said earlier," she apologized, her attitude softening.
Seeing her change in demeanor, Yushi's mood improved.
"It's alright. Your punishment is to sit on my lap and keep me company while I work," he teased.
"...Okay."
Su Xue'er thought to herself, He's my savior! I can't refuse! I can't be ungrateful!
Nervously, she slowly sat on Yushi's lap. He didn't take advantage, allowing her to relax.
