First Step

Third Person POV

Ash drank the entire Elixir of a Thousand Poisons, and his vision turned black. He fainted at that very moment.

When he opened his eyes, Jenny was beside him.

"Arrr."

"Oh, Prince Ash, you're finally awake!"

"Jenny? Where's Ron? And what do you mean by 'finally'?"

Ash thought he had been unconscious for a short while.

"Ron's in that room, and you've been unconscious for eight days."

"What?! Eight days?!"

"Yes, that's right. I thought you were dead. While you were unconscious, your entire body turned black and then returned to normal again. It happened dozens of times. It was terrifying!"

"It only took eight days because of the Blessed Body of Agnus. A regular knight would need at least a month to fully absorb the elixir. Quikantel knew this but didn't tell him, thinking it would be better not to know."

"So I guess you're immune to all types of poisons now. Congratulations, sir. Anyway, Ron, wake up the master."

"Oh my god, young master, you did well! Congratulations!"

During that time, the Antidote of a Thousand Poisons is an absorbable elixir, thus it is transferred to the best assassins of the East.

"I thought it would take at least two weeks, but you woke up within eight days. For you to rest, so don't think it's bad."

"Congratulations, young master, immune to a thousand poisons.... You've achieved what most warriors dream of. Sir, drink this to celebrate."

Ron handed Ash a cup filled with an unknown black liquid.

'What the hell is this? This... doesn't seem like something a human can drink.'

Fizz, fizz.

Bubbles burst, and smoke rose from it.

"What do you think?"

"What the hell is this?"

"It's poison. A single drop is capable of killing the strongest S-rank awakened in the blink of an eye. I got it myself from the black market."

Ron, this old man is crazy, isn't he? To try this on a child not even ten years old just after he woke up...

As he tried to get out of bed,

he felt unbearable pain in his head.

'What is this headache, it's splitting my head.'

A murderous intent exploded from Ash.

'What is this? I feel an overwhelming desire to kill and destroy.'

Jenny and Ron were surprised and didn't know what to do.

"Are you okay, sir?"

'Calm down, calm down.'

"I'm fine, nothing."

Ash thought.

I almost forgot about this. So, this is Ash's internal madness. How did he endure this crap? The novel depicted his madness and desire to kill, but now I understand. As I recall, the original Ash suppressed his madness by killing monsters and humans. But I can't live with this for the rest of my life.

"Prepare, we're leaving immediately."

Ash Von Agnus's POV

In the original story, it was mentioned that Ash was crazy and obsessed with killing. In Volume 6, he joined the demon worshippers and became a stealth killer and one of the most wanted criminals.

No one knew the reason for his madness, not even himself, and it remained a secret even after his death.

But I know the reason through my knowledge of the novel. Well, it's a complicated story. In the past, when dragons coexisted peacefully with humans, they suddenly all went mad and committed great atrocities.

They waged a bloody war against humanity and their allied races until they were all exterminated. But how is Ash connected to this? Well, his mother was originally a dragon. She sacrificed her life out of fear of her son being killed and used her life force to seal Ash's dragon lineage.

But the seal weakened over time, and the madness of the dragon lineage increased the more powerful he became and rose in ranks until it was uncontrollable.

I know several ways to treat it, the most important being Wise's Elixir. I need to obtain it as soon as possible.

While I was lost in my thoughts, Jenny's voice interrupted me.

"We've arrived, young master."

'Great, so this is the teleportation gate.'

We didn't have this in my previous world.

"Where to, sir?"

"West of the continent, the city of Silvenia."
