chapter 15

The portal snapped shut, leaving Spider-Man alone in the alien dimension. A wave of frustration washed over him. He had come so close to stopping Rick, only to be thwarted by the enigmatic and sinister President Morty. He knew he couldn't stay here; the Avengers needed him back in the Marvel Universe.

With a sigh, Spider-Man activated his web shooters, swinging through the bizarre landscape in search of another portal. He dodged monstrous creatures and leaped over chasms, his senses heightened as he navigated the treacherous terrain.

After what felt like hours, he spotted a shimmering vortex in the distance. He quickened his pace, his heart pounding with anticipation. As he drew closer, he heard a familiar voice.

"Well, well, well," Rick Sanchez drawled. "Look who decided to drop in."

Spider-Man swung into the clearing, landing gracefully in front of Rick and President Morty. The two were standing beside a makeshift lab, tinkering with a strange device that resembled a giant tuning fork.

"Fancy meeting you here, Spider-Man," Rick said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Did you come to join the party?"

Spider-Man shook his head. "I'm here to stop you, Rick. You're putting the entire multiverse at risk."

Rick chuckled. "Oh, please. I'm just having a little fun. And besides, what are you gonna do about it?"

President Morty stepped forward, his eyes cold and calculating. "Rick is under my protection, Spider-Man," he said. "I suggest you leave before you get hurt."

Spider-Man clenched his fists, his anger rising. He knew he was outnumbered and outgunned, but he couldn't back down. Not when the fate of the multiverse hung in the balance.

He launched himself at Rick, his web shooters firing a barrage of sticky strands. Rick dodged and weaved, his movements surprisingly agile for an old man. President Morty joined the fray, his attacks precise and deadly.

Spider-Man found himself fighting a losing battle. He was outmatched in strength and experience, his every move countered by his opponents. But he refused to give up. He dodged a blast from Rick's portal gun, narrowly avoiding being sucked into another dimension.

Suddenly, a bright light flashed in the sky. A portal opened, and a figure descended from it. It was Captain Marvel, her eyes blazing with cosmic energy.

"Spider-Man!" she shouted. "I've got your back!"

With a powerful burst of energy, she blasted Rick and President Morty back, sending them sprawling across the ground.

Spider-Man, momentarily stunned by the sudden appearance of his ally, quickly regained his composure. "Captain Marvel!" he exclaimed. "I'm glad you could make it."

Captain Marvel landed beside him, her face set in a determined expression. "Let's finish this," she said.

Together, the two heroes charged towards Rick and President Morty, ready to end this battle once and for all.
