The atmosphere shifted the moment Aiden stepped back into the room—because this time, he wasn't alone.

At his side walked Wanda Maximoff—the Scarlet Witch.

The tension was immediate and suffocating. Conversations halted. Movements stilled. Eyes narrowed. No one rushed forward to greet her. Their glares, cold and heavy with judgment, said enough. She felt it. So did Aiden.

But neither of them flinched.

"Everyone, this is Wanda," Aiden said with a flat tone, scanning the room. "Wanda, this is everyone. I'm sure you all love and respect each other. Great. Now get to work. We have no idea when Galactus is arriving."

Toni nodded, arms folded, trying to cut through the tension with data. "Latest estimates suggest we've got four days. That's the window."

"We were able to lock onto his signal using the Silver Surfer's board," added Richards, adjusting his glasses. "It emits a unique frequency tied directly to Galactus' presence. We've isolated and tracked it."

"I've already developed a few prototypes using that same energy," said Valeria, flipping a digital schematic in the air. "They might be useful as support weapons… though, frankly, I doubt they'll be enough on their own."

Wanda's lips curled into a faint smirk as she eyed the projection. "Well, looks like someone finally figured out the board isn't just a ride." Her tone was playful, but carried a sting of mockery.

Fury stepped in, his voice sharp and unforgiving. "Let's be clear. No one here is happy you're involved. So spare us the sarcasm, make yourself useful, and tell us what your plan is."

Wanda matched his glare without hesitation. "The feeling is mutual, Director," she said smoothly. "But I'll play nice—for now."

She stepped closer to the center of the room and began laying it out. "I'll need three things: Jean Grey, the board from the Herald, and someone who can manipulate and endure its energy without crumbling into dust."

Her gaze slid to Aiden.

"I've already found that last person."

Tony raised a brow. "Alright… I get the board. I get needing someone to wield its energy. But Jean? What exactly are you planning?"

Wanda looked at him, expression unreadable. "Her power is necessary. Even if Professor X is doing his best to keep it buried, I can sense it. The Phoenix Force. It's not dormant. It's restrained—but not gone."

She paused, letting that sink in before continuing. "Together—her Phoenix power, my Chaos Magic, and the board's energy—we can construct something far more potent than a mere weapon. A repellant. A shield. A last-resort."

She turned back to Aiden, her tone now serious. "And to anchor it, to wield it without disintegrating from within, we'll need someone who can stand against magic… and endure overwhelming cosmic force."

She extended a finger toward him.

"You."

"How long will it take you to develop this weapon of yours?" Aiden asked, his tone calm but expectant.

Wanda turned to face him fully, the crimson glow in her eyes flickering with restrained energy. "Four days," she said. "If Galactus arrives earlier than that… you'll have to find a way to stall him."

A heavy silence followed, the weight of that statement pressing down on the room like a storm cloud. Thor crossed his arms, his brow furrowed with doubt.

"Three primal cosmic forces—Chaos Magic, the Phoenix, and the Power Cosmic," he said slowly. "Alone, each can unravel reality. Combined… even gods would tremble. And you expect a child to wield that?"

Toni scoffed lightly, gesturing toward Aiden. "He's no ordinary kid. You were there when he fought the Silver Surfer. He didn't just survive—he held his own. He won."

"That may be," said Carol, arms folded, skepticism etched into every word, "but beating a Herald doesn't make him ready to carry the weight of a galactic weapon. You're asking us to entrust the fate of the universe to someone we barely understand."

Thor nodded in agreement. "Power is not the only measure. Resolve, control, understanding—unless I see it for myself, I will not believe he's ready."

Aiden tilted his head slightly, then smiled.

"Haven't I already proved it to you?"

Thor raised a brow. "When?"

Aiden's smile widened. "Remember your hammer? The one only 'the worthy' can lift?" He paused for dramatic effect. "I took it from you."

Thor blinked. Then frowned. "Impossible. that was some magical trick you pulled!"

"Not only that," Aiden continued, stepping forward. "But just last week, I faced another version of you. Stronger. Wiser. Fiercer. A Thor from an alternate timeline. And I killed him."

The room froze.

Valeria cleared her throat and stepped beside him. "It's true. I was there. That Thor wielded two hammers and the Odinforce. And Aiden still won."

Thor's expression darkened. He opened his mouth to respond, but Toni raised a hand, stepping between them.

"Alright, alright, let's not turn this into a cosmic dick-measuring contest," Toni said dryly. "Save the thunder and bravado for the actual battle."

He looked around the room, letting his voice carry weight and reason. "Right now, none of us have a better plan. No one's handing us a neat little Galactus repellent. So we back the one person who walked in here with a potential solution."

He turned toward Aiden and Wanda.

"That means we support the kid. And the witch he brought in."

Silence settled for a moment. And slowly, heads began to nod.

Four days. That was all they had.

And maybe—just maybe—it would be enough.
