The Goliath, SHIELD's greatest aerial warship, had long since breached Earth's atmosphere, now resting silently in the cold void of space. Its colossal body floated between the Earth and the Moon like a steadfast guardian, surrounded by dozens of smaller escort vessels and repurposed X-Men Blackbirds, all forming a massive defense grid in anticipation of what was to come.

Then everything stilled.

An unnatural hush seemed to descend upon the cosmos as space itself... bent.

Out beyond the moon's orbit, reality rippled like water disturbed in a still pond. A dark silhouette emerged through the distortion—massive, impossible, cosmic.

Galactus.

His towering figure eclipsed the stars behind him. The moon, once so dominant in scale, now looked like a pebble next to the mountain that was the Devourer of Worlds. Clad in his legendary purple-and-blue armor, etched with ancient patterns older than the galaxies, his helmet crowned him like the throne of a god, jagged and regal. Each step he took didn't move him through space—space moved around him.

A presence like a collapsing sun radiated from him. The mere weight of his approach pressed against the hearts of everyone aboard the Goliath. This… was the being who had consumed worlds. A force beyond reason, a god of hunger.

The Goliath's AI engaged the transmission line, its voice calm but firm.

"Unidentified entity. You are entering Earth's protected zone. State your identity and purpose."

A gesture of diplomacy—futile, but necessary.

Galactus paused.

His glowing, fathomless eyes—each the size of a city—shifted slowly, scanning the armada like ants clinging to dust. Then, soundlessly, a voice rumbled. It did not come through the communication line, but instead through every mind onboard, ancient and incomprehensible at first, before bending to the common tongue.

"I do not speak to my food…"

The voice echoed like thunder across the stars.

"…But curiosity compels me. Tell me, how have mortals like you bested my herald… and severed the gifts I bestowed?"

His gaze intensified, though it was like a galaxy staring at a grain of sand. And yet… every being on the bridge felt where it landed.

The Silver Surfer.

Galactus' voice twisted with disdain.

"Norrin Radd… You betray me… You shame the power I granted you. Do you wish to see Zenn-La consumed? Speak now."

Without hesitation, the Silver Surfer phased through the hull of the Goliath, surfboard in hand, silver skin gleaming with solemn courage. He hovered before Galactus, just a speck in the void compared to the god before him.

"I served you for centuries, Galactus. An eternity by my world's reckoning. I was your herald, your reaper, your instrument. I gave you my soul… in exchange for Zenn-La's survival. That was the deal. My servitude for its safety."

He paused, voice steady, yet strained.

"Honor your word."

Galactus' head tilted, a mocking gesture from a being beyond morality. His reply rumbled like a collapsing star:

"You presume to bargain with me, now? Very well, Norrin Radd. Zenn-La survives…"

He raised a colossal hand, fingers opening like the jaws of death.

"…but you do not."

The heavens split.

A beam of crackling cosmic energy, brighter than any sun, erupted from Galactus' palm. It tore through space, aimed straight at the Silver Surfer.

But it never reached him.

A wall of light erupted between them—divine and unyielding. A blazing shield, forged of pure light and dragon-born power, intercepted the blast.

Hovering in front of the Silver Surfer, wind whirling behind him like twin celestial blades, water rippling across his scaled armor like a second skin, and a radiant crown gleaming with the brilliance of a thousand suns—stood Aiden Blake.

His Azure Dragon Form burned like a star in motion. His eyes met Galactus' with no fear, only determination.

"I guess we're doing this the hard way," Aiden muttered, adjusting his grip on the shield. "Figures."

Galactus blinked, his tone unreadable as he regarded the tiny, defiant figure before him.

"And what… are you?"

"I am what defeated your Herald."

For the first time, Galactus blinked. Slowly.

"A mere mortal?" he repeated with distant amusement.

Then his eyes narrowed, glinting with curiosity beyond arrogance. His voice dropped—less mockery, more realization.

"No... I am mistaken, aren't I?"

The great Devourer of Worlds leaned in, and though he was light-years tall, it somehow felt like he was now within reach.

"I understand now… You are ancient. No… perhaps not you—but the power you wield. Whatever it is… it is not something I recognize. And I was born before stars first learned to burn."

He turned his massive head slightly, looking down toward the hovering Goliath.

"One aboard wields fragments of the Space Stone… another, a god of the new age. Perhaps I misjudged this planet… This is no mere mortals' world."

Aiden smirked, raising a brow.

"So… does that mean we get to be spared and all that?"

Galactus didn't respond.

"I mean, let's be honest here," Aiden continued, wings folding slightly. "Why Earth? Plenty of dead planets out there. I get the whole 'life force' diet you've got—your guy here," he gestured casually at the Silver Surfer, "gave me the rundown. Still, there's other worlds with no people, just raw, juicy life energy. So again—why Earth?"

For a moment, silence.

Then Galactus laughed.

The sound wasn't just loud—it shook the Goliath. It rippled through the void, a sound so massive it distorted the very light around it. Earth's upper atmosphere briefly vibrated, as if space itself was bracing for impact.

"Would you believe me," Galactus said, amusement crackling like thunder across eternity, "if I told you... your planet is unusually tasty?"

Aiden blinked.

"You're joking—"

"I am not," Galactus said, eyes flaring. "Earth… seeded by the Celestials… observed by the Living Tribunal… touched by the hands of Eternity itself. This planet is not merely alive—it is a cosmic buffet. A world infused with energies that no other possesses. It will nourish me. Empower me. Fulfill me… for centuries."

Galactus straightened, now towering like a mountain before ants.

"And so, I refuse to let it survive. I will devour it. Consume it. It is unfortunate, young one. Had your world not been so special, I would have offered you the role of my new Herald."

Aiden's smirk faded. His eyes narrowed, fierce with resolve.

"Y'know, for someone who recognizes just how special Earth is… you're awfully stupid to attack it."

That line cut sharper than any blade. Galactus' smile vanished.

"There is nothing your defiance or your power can do, young mortal," he said coldly. "You may have grown brazen… proud… but today, I shall teach you what it means to stand before Galactus."

Aiden tightened his grip on the light-forged shield.

"Yeah? And today… I'll show you what it means to stand for Earth."

Suddenly—

The silence of space broke like thunder.

A massive CRACK of lightning tore through the void, as Thor, God of Thunder, burst from the Goliath, Mjolnir spinning in his hand, electricity dancing in wild arcs behind him. His cape flared like a war banner, his armor glowing with ancient runes as he hovered beside Aiden.

Moments later, a red streak of cosmic energy shot past—Captain Marvel, binary form active, eyes blazing, every atom in her body alight with stellar fury.

And then… a green figure flew forward, face masked behind a high-tech breathing unit, massive fists clenched—Hulk, in a specialized suit designed to withstand the void, his rage contained only by a whisper.

Together, they stood beside Aiden in formation—god, warrior, monster, and dragon.

Thor raised Mjolnir, his voice a command that echoed across realms:

"Avengers… ASSEMBLE!"
