Meanwhile, in the real world, chaos had overtaken the Goliath ship.
Abyss Aiden—an inhuman fusion of shadow and wrath—strode through the wreckage like a god of destruction reborn. His form was monstrous, ink-black skin laced with flickering patterns of abyssal energy, eyes glowing like twin eclipses. He had already torn through the Avengers with brutal efficiency. Iron Man's suit lay crumpled and sparking, torn apart like scrap metal. Hulk, beaten and unconscious, had crashed through three reinforced walls before finally staying down.
Now, the dark entity moved methodically from one room to the next, hunting, cleansing the ship of any resistance.
"NOW!" Kitty Pryde screamed, launching herself up from the floor beneath him, phasing through the metal, her hand clamping around Abyss Aiden's leg with all her strength.
From behind, Bobby Drake and Noriko launched their coordinated assault. Bobby unleashed a barrage of razor-sharp icicles, aiming for the joints and head. Noriko's hands crackled with lightning as she released a wide arc of electricity, targeting his back. The combined attack briefly lit up the corridor in a blaze of blue and white.
But Abyss Aiden reacted with bone-snapping speed.
With a vicious stomp, the corridor cracked, and Kitty was kicked away with terrifying force. Her lip split open from the impact, and she tumbled across the floor, gasping.
Bobby barely had time to react. The Abyss entity flung a black sphere of compressed energy that crashed into him mid-shield conjuration. The ice shattered, and Bobby screamed as his ribs cracked under the brutal impact, flung backwards into a wall with a thud.
Noriko managed to dodge the incoming sphere meant for her—but when she turned—
He was already there.
That face. Hollow eyes like gaping voids, that slitted, mocking mouth twisted into a smirk. Noriko's heart froze.
His hand reached out and grabbed her throat. She struggled, electricity pouring from her arms—but it didn't matter. With effortless strength, Abyss Aiden hurled her across the corridor, crashing her into a wall like a ragdoll.
He turned, punching through the next wall, stepping into a larger chamber. Waiting inside were Jean Grey, Wanda Maximoff, and Valeria Richards.
Jean's eyes flared red as the Phoenix Force raged around her. "We hold him here! Wanda, get ready!"
Jean lifted her hand, unleashing a concentrated wave of psychic force that began to peel at Abyss Aiden's skin. The shadows cracked and sizzled. Chunks of the darkness flew off his body with each step—but he didn't stop. He just kept walking, step after slow step. His hideous smile never wavered.
"He's resisting my power," Jean growled. "Wanda, now!"
Wanda's hands spiraled with mystical geometry—her magic shimmered with every color imaginable, chaotic and raw. "Valeria, stay back!"
"No—wait!" Valeria shouted. "We can still reason with him—it's Aiden! I know he's still in there!"
"We can't risk it!" Jean snapped. "If he destroys us, Galactus wins!"
"Oh... the Phoenix Force," Abyss Aiden mused darkly, his voice like oil dripping from fire. "Delicious."
Before he could say more, Wanda hurled her spell. A massive, prismatic orb of chaotic magic hurtled forward and collided square with his face. The impact blew the room into shockwave tremors.
His entire head disintegrated.
"AIDEN!" Valeria screamed, falling to her knees.
But despair didn't last long—because horror replaced it.
His head regrew, piece by piece. Black tendrils curled inwards from the void, reconstructing the sinister smile in a grotesque display of resilience.
"Chaos... and the Phoenix Force," Abyss Aiden spoke, voice warping with layers of depth. "Fascinating indeed. The boy would've died from that. But I am not him. I am Abyss. A primordial force older than both of you. In fact... I am both of you."
He raised his arms. From the floor, black energy surged upward and formed thick tendrils that lashed around Jean and Wanda, pinning them mid-air. His hands gripped their necks—tight enough to make them gasp for breath.
"Now..." he said with eerie calm. "Which of you shall die first?"
"STOP!" Valeria ran at him, tears in her eyes, desperation in her voice. "Aiden—please, STOP! You're hurting them! You're hurting me!"
Abyss Aiden turned slightly.
"Oh? The boy had someone this important here?" His head tilted. "I wonder how he'll react when he sees what I—"
He stopped.
His whole body twitched violently.
The tendrils around Jean and Wanda crumbled into mist.
His grip loosened. His arms shook.
Inside the body of Abyss... something awakened.
A scream echoed through his soul—"Get The Fuck Out Of My Body!"—and then came a shatter.
Chains, forged from conceptual darkness, broke.
A blinding force of soul and will exploded outward as Aiden's true self tore free from Knull's prison—and re-entered his body.
Eyes shot open.
The darkness inside him wailed in agony as it was forced back into submission.
Aiden stood there, trembling, breath ragged, heart pounding like war drums. His hands opened slowly, releasing Jean and Wanda. His face returned to normal—human, exhausted, and filled with emotion.
"Valeria...?"
The voice was shaky. The light from the flickering sparks overhead revealed a face that was no longer twisted in malevolent darkness. The slit mouth vanished. The cruel, abyssal smirk faded. In its place… human eyes—tired, pained, but filled with awareness—blinked rapidly, taking in the chaos around him.
Aiden stumbled backward, the twisted tendrils of darkness around his arms retreating into his skin like vipers slithering back into a den. His entire body convulsed as power, the primordial abyss, resisted the return of its original owner. He fell to his knees, gasping for breath, his hands trembling as the black ooze around his arms hissed and melted away.
"Aiden... you're... back?" she whispered, voice cracking.
He took a step forward, and she ran into his arms, hugging him tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.
"I thought we lost you... I thought you were gone..."
Aiden held her, silent for a moment.
Then he looked at Jean and Wanda, still recovering from the attack.
"I'm sorry..." he said, tears forming in his eyes. "It wasn't me... I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I—I couldn't stop it..."
Jean nodded slowly, rubbing her throat. "We know... we know now."
But Wanda's gaze was wary. "Whatever that thing was... it's not gone, is it?"
Aiden's eyes narrowed.
"No..."
He turned his head, looking into the void beyond the shattered walls of the ship.
"It's Not...It's Gone from my body....But.....I Think I just made a horrible Enemy.....One that Is on Par or even worst than Galactus..."
