Telekinesis

Many times in his life, Lex had been pricked by a needle or a sharp pointed object. All of those times, the area where he was pricked was quite small.

Currently, he was experiencing the same thing, the only difference being that the pain was much stronger and was spread throughout his body.

"…" Lex opened his mouth to scream yet no sound came out.

His body soon started to disobey his commands. Without his permission, his body bent backward until his back was touching the bed.

The pain clouded Lex's mind so much that he couldn't form a reply. He felt like letting go for the time being.

All of a sudden, a holographic image appeared in front of Lex. The scenes on the screen gave him enough clarity to process what was going on.

'Why did you choose to play a he*ai scene when there was literally anything in the world that you could have played…'

A full-fledged video of two anime characters doing 'it' was being displayed in front of Lex. The pain he was feeling was now being occupied by something else as well.

[ Hey, it's working. Now patiently wait for the results of your ability unlocking. ]

Lex felt as if time was passing slowly for him. Only he knew how he managed to spend the next minute and a half without falling unconscious.

[ Three… Two… One… Congratulations! You have managed to awaken a part of your ability! ]

The pain in Lex's body vanished in the blink of an eye. When he tried moving his body, he found his movements to be much smoother than before.

'What exactly is my power?'

Without saying anything, Lex raised his right hand toward his bag. He focused on the bag and tried to pull it towards him.

A huge smile appeared on Lex's face when he saw the bag moving a few centimeters before shooting towards him. He caught the bag with his hand and placed it on the bag.

That was the first time Lex heard the word molecular telekinesis. He got a general idea about what it could allow him to do but the details were still not clear.

'You know what? I will think about molecular telekinesis when we reach that stage. Before that, I need to know what limitations I will be facing while using my abilities?'

I suggest you buy tons of aspirin or some other painkillers to help you deal with those. Also, if you overuse the power, your blood vessels might inflate due to your brain losing control of them so buy something for that as well. ]

Compared to what Lex had been expecting, the limitations on his power seemed quite normal. He just had to arm himself with painkillers and he would be good to go.

'I wanna try it again.'

Lex picked up one of the pillows lying on the bed and held it high in the air. He then let the pillow drop towards the ground while willing it to shoot outwards towards the door.

Unfortunately, the pillow hit the ground without moving at all.

"Tsk…" Lex clicked his tongue in disappointment. "Looks like this is going to require some serious practice.'

[ Duh. Abilities aren't like instant food that can be cooked within minutes. You will have to learn the basics before moving forward. ]

Lex nodded and picked up the pillow again. Now that he finally had an ability, he could finally move towards his goal.

'Wait, I don't really have a goal, do I?' Lex paused. 'The only thing I kind of wanted to do was raise myself out of debt and live a good life. I have managed to do the former but living a good life seems kind of hard in this world.'

[ Weren't you going to go for revenge on that gang? ]

'Obviously, I am going to do that. But I would require Rio's help in that. Speaking of Rio, you got any idea how I am supposed to explain this to her?'

'I know you can't think of anything that can help. No need to sound so dramatic.' Lex sighed.

Elfie was about to protest but Lex stopped her from doing so. He picked up the pillow from the floor. He focused on the pillow while holding it in his hand.

Lex dropped the pillow once again but this time, the pillow shot towards the door.

'I knew that studying such abilities during my chunni phase will turn out to be useful.'

While being happy about using his ability, Lex pressed his right palm against the back of his head. A minor headache was present in the back of his head.

'So this is the limitation. If I abuse this ability, my head might get blown off…'

Lex sprawled on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

'I guess this is much better than living in my previous world. At least I am not alone.' Lex sighed. 'I still have to think up a story to tell Rio though.'

Lex was about to think of a story but the events of the day caught up to him. It barely took him a few minutes to fall asleep.

In the silence, a gentle voice whispered inside Lex's head.
