You Are A Pervert

For the first week, Rio made Lex pull and push dumbbells of varying weight.

Lifting weights and moving them in all directions allowed Lex to get familiar with moving things at any point in time.

This was the first basic that he mastered.

After that, Rio began to throw the weights at him and instructed him to stop the weights as soon as he could.

This turned out to be deadly training.

Lex faced 10kg dumbbells flying towards him at the speed of lightning. Fortunately, he was able to come up with multiple methods to stop the dumbbells.

He created a forcefield in front of him which deflected all incoming projectiles. Though it drained his energy a lot and caused a major headache, Lex was happy to find a defensive way to use his ability.

Rio spent three more days throwing dumbbells at him before shifting to tiny black balls. The balls were as big as golf balls and were made from a dull material.

Lex had to do deflect the balls the same way he deflected the dumbbells.

But the moment the black ball connected with his forcefield, it exploded. The forcefield was pushed back alongside Lex.

"Don't assume that the same strategy will work on every opponent," Rio explained. "There are many ability users as well as pieces of technology that can counter your ability up to a certain extent."

"I see…"

Observing the black balls, Lex decided to shift his strategy. The moment the black balls left Rio's hand, Lex pushed them in the opposite direction.

They exploded in the air, preventing Lex from receiving any damage."

Rio nodded in appreciation. "Try to adapt to the attack coming your way. I will throw these from different angles, try to protect yourself."

Two weeks passed since Lex began his training. During this time, Rio only trained him in long-range combat.

Lex managed to learn how to push, pull, deflect, explode, and redirect objects thrown at him from random locations.

He also practiced the forcefield to increase its duration. However, things were looking different today.

Lex entered the basement in a positive mood. Dressed in sportswear, he was ready to train.

"What are we…" Lex began speaking but paused midway.

Rio stood in the middle of the room with a smile on her face. She no longer wore her normal jeans and shirt combo.

[ Even as a female I will say this, she looks hot… ]

Rio was dressed in a black sports bra and a dark blue skirt reaching down to cover most of her thighs. Along with the skirt, Rio was also wearing black stockings.

'Fuck, I have a weak spot for stockings…'

Lex was a male who found women in stockings especially attractive. Wearing stockings added a lot to a woman's charm, especially if the woman was Rio.

"Do I look so bad that you can't say anything?" Rio asked with a fake hurt look.

She raised her arms to the back of her head and began tying her silver hair in a ponytail. 

'Hot…' 

Lex shook his head to clear the thoughts arising in his head. Unfortunately, he couldn't remove them.

Ever since his training began, Rio increased her teasing. She would playfully touch him and ruffle his hair.

Lex occasionally did the same thing to her but it didn't affect her. Instead, Rio would smile and tease him further.

Slowly, Lex began to fall for her actions and was attracted by her.

"It's quite the opposite. You are looking so good that I don't know how to compliment you." Lex replied.

"This is just a cute workout outfit, you know." Rio chuckled

"We are going to do some combat training hence I am dressed this way. To get some warm-up done, try playing with this." Rio turned around and tossed Lex a ball.

It was roughly the size of a basketball and made from a squishy material. Lex could easily press it into numerous different shapes.

"I have to use my power to change its shape?" Lex questioned.

"You can do that or you can read this manual." Rio handed Lex a small blue chip.

As soon as the chip touched his hands, a holograph shot out from it. The manual on how to use the ball was barely three pages long, half of which was filled with warnings.

It could be used as a stress relieving ball as well as a training ball for those with magnetism and telekinesis. 

To use it, Lex first needed to learn how to compress and expand the ball with his ability. He gave the manual a quick read on how to do both things.

Meanwhile, Rio leisurely started floating in the air. With her bracelet in one hand and a stress-relieving squishy ball in another, she was lost in her own world.

[ What are you going to do first? ] Elfie questioned after Lex had closed the manual.

'Compression. If I want to expand the ball, I will have to concentrate the energy on the inside of the ball which would require some serious visualization.'

[ Whereas if you want to compress the ball, you just have to apply the energy externally. All right, let's get started with this. ] 

Lex rotated the ball in his hand and found two polished surfaces, one red and one blue. The red one activated the ball's properties for telekinesis users while the blue one activated the properties for magnetism users.

Lex pressed the red surface thrice and dropped the ball. It started hovering before him, waiting for him to use his powers.

Lex put his hands on either side of the ball, keeping some distance between them to make sure that they didn't come in direct contact.

He imagined a force pushing out of his hands and squishing the ball into a smaller shape. 

Much to Lex's surprise, the ball was squished in less than ten seconds. It was at least 50% smaller than its original size.

"Rio, look!" Lex raised his face up to look at Rio's reaction.

[ Classic anime moment. ] Elfie sighed.

Rio was floating above Lex and his eyes directly looked under her skirt. Lex was so enchanted for a couple of seconds that he forgot what was happening around him.

Her thick thighs covered by the black stockings were visible to him. His vision caught a glimpse of the region above her thighs...

"I didn't know that you were a pervert Lex."

Rio's voice broke Lex from his trance. He immediately shifted his gaze downwards.

"Aww, you are a pervert." Rio teased. However, her cheeks turned a bit red from the sudden interaction.

She didn't expect Lex to catch her off guard like this.

"I just wanted to share my progress. You are the perverted one for being present in that location."

"Ohh? Wait."

Rio landed on the ground in front of Lex. While looking into his eyes, she grabbed the edges of her skirt and flipped it.

[ Holy heavens. You enjoy this scene. I am gonna shut off my vision and do more research on your powers. ] Elfie whistled.

Lex ignored Elfie's comment as he was shocked by what happened. However, his shock soon vanished when he noticed that Rio was wearing shorts underneath her skirt.

"I admit that I love teasing but I am not that shameless to just blandly flash you. Hmph." Rio pouted and fixed her skirt.

"And I am not perverted enough to deliberately stare under your skirt."

"So you do admit that you are a pervert."

"Respectfully, shut up."

Lex rolled his eyes as Rio began giggling. The latter flew back in the air and started scrolling through a hologram emitting from her bracelet.

On the other hand, Lex resumed his compression training. He compressed the ball until it became marble-sized.

The ball returned to its original size after Lex grabbed and squished it. He placed the ball in the air again and tried the expansion method.

Lex imagined the insides of the ball expanding outwards. It took a few seconds of concentration but the ball finally started to bulge out.

'This is proving out to be quite an easy task.'

In less than five minutes, Lex was able to expand and contract the ball as per his requirements. He didn't face any headaches during this process either.

'He is a quick learner.' Rio observed. 'But this is expected.'

Rio had also learned how to control her ability at an alarmingly fast rate. The backlashes she would face also reduced over time.

In general, when teenagers first unlocked their abilities, it took them a year or two to fully discover the usage and downsides of their abilities.

They would then spend another few years learning to control their abilities while decreasing the effects of the downsides. 

Rio and Lex would be considered exceptions to this. They were directly controlling their abilities and downsides in quite a short amount of time.

[ This is quite interesting… ] Elfie murmured to herself.

She was the one who had first noticed this after accessing the internet through Lex's bracelet.

[ Something is different about both of their abilities. I need to do more research regarding this… ]

'What research?'

[ Oh, you heard that. Never mind that. Can you ask Rio a question? ]

'Sure.'

[ Ask her whether she somehow received a huge amount of EE moments before she unlocked her ability. ]

"Hey, Rio, did you feel some huge amount of energy entering your body moments before you unlocked your ability?" Lex asked aloud. "I felt something enter mine when I unlocked my ability."

"Mhm, I don't exactly remember that moment considering how I was a panicked state. But now that you mention it, I remember that I felt a prickling pain spreading throughout my body before awakening my ability." Rio replied.

[ That's a satisfactory answer for me. I will go back to doing what I was doing before. ] 

"Shall we proceed to the next step?" Rio landed on the floor.

She put the stress ball on the ground and closed the hologram. Stretching her arms forward, Rio entered a battling position.

"Ready to battle?"

Lex nodded and raised his arms forward.

But before they could spar, a ringing sound echoed inside the mansion Rio's expression went from confused to grim in a matter of seconds.

It was pretty obvious considering how no one came to visit her.

"Lex, I think we might have to fight some people." Rio smiled humorlessly. "Either that or some lost and depressed salesman managed to make his way to this place."
