Lex focused on the palm of his right hand and shot forward.
Seeing his opponent switch to offense, Theo decided to go all out. He stopped emitting the waves from his waist. A blue armor of sorts appeared over his clothes, protecting him against the force-based attacks.
"It's useless," Lex said with confidence.
He finally understood the reason Theo's ability suppressed his ability. He was treating telekinesis as a force that pulled or pushed on objects.
Telekinesis could be considered a force but not a normal one that naturally existed in the world. Lex just needed to change the way he viewed his ability. That was the reason Rio forced him to imagine things while using his ability.
Theo punched forward with his right hand, aiming for Lex's head. The latter raised his left hand and punched Theo's fist.
"AHH!" A scream emerged from Theo's mouth, followed by the sound of bones cracking.
However, it didn't end there. Summoning all the power he had been storing in his palm, Lex thrust his palm towards Theo's chest.
Lex's palm broke the armor in one shot and directly came in contact with Theo's chest. Lex imagined all his power emerging from his palm and destroying Theo's bones.
Crunching sounds entered Lex's ears. Theo was sent flying by the strike's impact, his eyes rolling back inside his head.
His scream from earlier momentarily stopped the combat between Rio, Jason, and Emily. All three of them turned just in time to see Theo flying through the air.
His body hit the ground with a thud and went limp.
"How…" Jason murmured in a stunned voice. "Theo should be able to defeat Lex."
"Lex is full of surprises," Rio replied proudly. "Now that he has beaten his opponents, I need to deal with you both too."
*ZZZ!*
A crackling sound resounded throughout the surroundings. A few strands of Rio's hair started rising. She began to ascend in the sky.
Lighting flickered around her arms, emitting raw power.
[ She was waiting for us to finish. ]
'I think the same thing…'
Lex couldn't help but watch Rio in awe. Despite her cute skirt and outfit, the expression on her face made her look like a divine goddess who descended from heaven to punish the wicked.
"Wrath of Lightning!" Rio shouted and pointed her hands toward Jason and Emily.
"Emily, hurry up!" Jason shouted, panic visible on his face. He flew down from the sky and stood on the ground beside the girl named Emily.
Emily hugged Jason from behind while looking towards the sky in terror.
Lex understood their fear when he looked at the sky. Dark clouds had covered the sky and they rumbled loudly.
Dozens of thunderbolts suddenly fell from the sky, each of them heading towards Emily and Jason.
The hair on Lex's body stood up as the thunderbolts arrived on the ground. However, all of them focused on Emily and began to vanish inside her hair.
[ Think 'system scan' while looking at her. That should explain this. ]
Lex followed Elfie's instructions. A blue window appeared above Emily's head.
[ Ability: Rubber Transformation
Grade: 8
Description: allows the user to transform parts of their body into rubber, gaining elasticity and the ability to negate electricity. ]
"Converting your hair to rubber won't save you. You might be able to absorb electricity but this is pure lightning." Rio informed. "Unfortunately, its too late for you."
With a snap of Rio's fingers, the thunderbolts doubled in number.
"AHH!" Emily screamed due to the sudden increase in number of lightning bolts.
The lightning bolts burned her hair and were no longer absorbed by them. They descended onto Emily and Jason like heavenly wrath.
With no protection, they faced the full blow of the lightning bolts.
In front of Lex's eyes, Emily and Jason turned to ash. Unlike Redrum who had gotten a relatively peaceful death, Emily and Jason died screaming.
Rio shifted her gaze towards Theo's body and threw a lightning bolt at him. After turning his body to ash, she descended to the ground.
"He countered your ability in the beginning, didn't he? I saw you looking at the broken pieces of the gate but nothing happened to them." Rio said while walking towards Lex.
"You were just toying with your opponents, weren't you?" Lex questioned.
"Well, they were pretty weak. I have a lot of experience so someone on the same level as me would be required to defeat me. I wanted to see how well you faired in a real battle."
"How did I do?"
"You were amazing. As a reward, I will let you hold my hand for as long as you want." Rio smirked.
"After the lap pillow, you expected me to be satisfied by that?"
"Oh? You want something more?" Rio placed her right hand on her breasts, acting surprised. "Holding hands is lewd. What more do you want?"
"Nothing. I will settle for hand holding." Lex muttered.
[ You could have pushed for more. ]
'I know but this is not the right timing for that. Getting romantic after killing three people is not the ideal romance I want to have right now.'
[ How will you survive a yandere then? ]
'I don't have a yandere, do I?'
[ Don't underestimate the system. You never know… ]
'You sounded creepy for a few seconds.'
[ And you sound way too calm for someone who watched people die in agony. Let's not point fingers at each other. ]
Lex wanted to come up with a reply but couldn't. Elfie was right. This was the first time Lex saw someone die in pain and he didn't feel traumatized after seeing it.
He felt nauseous for a couple of seconds but that was it.
'Maybe there is something wrong with me…'
[ Or there is another explanation for that. ]
'Huh?'
[ Ask Rio later on. ]
Confused by Elfie's words, Lex looked over at Rio who was assessing the damage dealt to the mansion's gates.
"We will have to order new gates and assemble them ourselves since no mechanic will come here. Oh well, let's go inside and have some food first. I am hungry after that fight." Rio sighed.
"Sure, I will cook something good."
"I will help."
Together, the duo began walking back towards the interior of the mansion. Cooking food was the only thing occupying their mind.
Until…
"Prison Of Silence."
