But why are you so lucky

At 5:30, Lina boarded a taxi home. It was a short drive home, which Lina wished was a long one because the driver had been telling her about his three-year-old daughter.

The way he praised her beauty and intelligence, Lina was fascinated. She wished she could see the little 'her'.

"We've arrived," the driver said and pulled up in front of the house.

"Oh, so fast," she said sadly and pouted.

"I could continue some other time," the driver said and smiled.

Lina reluctantly got out of the car. She slowly closed the car door and waved the driver goodbye. Bella had been anxious all day; she had been standing at the door ever since the sky turned dark.

Seeing Lina arrive, Bella rushed to her. "OH MY GOD, BITCH, where have you been all day?" she yelled.

"Calm down, mummy, I've got a bag full of gists," Lina said jokingly.

"Shut the fuck up. Who cares about stupid gi...wait...did you say a bag full of gist?" She asked and narrowed her eyes.

"Dude, wait till you hear it."

"But I still get to reprimand you after the gist," she stated.

"Can you not, please?" Lina begged.

"Keep playing, girl. Let's go inside and you can tell me everything," she said, and grabbed Lina's wrists, pulling her to the house.

*Back at the company*

A black car was parked at the side of the road. Inside the car sat a man with a cold and stern face. He kept glancing at his wristwatch impatiently as he stared at the entrance of the company.

Soon, a man in a black suit came out of the company, panting. "Mr. Widjaya, she got off work thirteen minutes ago," he said anxiously.

Daniel's sharp gaze, like a layer of poison, swept across the driver's face and landed back on the road. Couldn't she even wait or call him, he thought?

"Let's go," he ordered coldly.

The driver sighed and wiped the sweat from his forehead before getting back in the car. "Where do you want to go?" he asked.

Daniel was already losing his patience. "Why don't you just drive me to hell?" he stated coldly.

The driver's face froze, and he trembled nervously. It's clearly obvious that his master is in a bad mood. He slowly kicked the ignition and started the car.

He quietly drove off to the Widjaya family's villa. Daniel leaned in lazily at the back seat; he looked lazy and tired. His face was expressionless as he stared off into the dark through the window.

*************

Lina and Bella had already washed up. Lina sat on the sofa, while Bella sat at the edge of the bed in a gossipy manner.

"Spill...don't u dare lie to me or tell me an unfinished story." She threatened

"Just pipe down, and I'll tell u everything," Lina said.

"Okay," she replied

"You wouldn't believe I met Lady Linda, not just met, we sat together in the same room," Lina raised her head proudly.

"Oh, shut up," Bella exclaimed and waited casually for a response.

"Okay, I will," Lina said and smiled sinisterly.

"What? No, I didn't mean 'shut up' like really shut up... you know what I mean," bella was shocked and immediately shook her hands and explained.

Lina looked at Bella's expression and couldn't help but laugh. "Chillax, bitch."

"I swear I'll pay you back," she stated angrily, but not too angry to miss the chance of hearing the burning hot gist.

"And I also got a job at... Blackwood COMPANY!" Lina shrieked.

"Holy crap, what a cocky, cruel bitch you are. I was worried sick about you here, and you were there busy meeting with celebs," Bella tried hard to suppress her excitement but failed.

"You should have seen Lady Linda in person, dude. She's more beautiful than on TV," Lina facepalmed and stared into space with dreamy eyes.

"But why are you so lucky?" asked Bella.

"Go ask God, baby," Lina said and walked to the bed. She lay down and stared at the ceiling. "And I made a new friend, Sofia."

"Oh, cool! I have to meet her. She must be so cool since she's your friend. I mean, just look at me," Bella said confidently.

Lina just rolled her eyes at Bella and laugh lightly. "Sure, you're so cool," she said sleepily before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

The night was deep, and Bella couldn't resist the drowsiness that came over her.
