The importance of strength

By the time the trio reached the Broken Moon City, it was already evening and the sun was ready to disappear. 

Gazing at the city surrounded by huge walls on all the sides and a single entrance right in front of them, Felix only felt that the city looked exactly like the ones in the comics and nothing else. 

However just as the three of them were about to enter the city, the guards stopped them asking them to pay the entrance fee which caused Felix and Eliza's face to immediately turn awkward. 

Since the time Eliza had activated her constitution their whole days were spent on relaxing and enjoying each other's bodies so much that not only did she not earn any money, the two of them had completely used up all the savings as well. 

So how could the two of them afford to pay 10 silvers each? 

Similarly looking at the duo's expression the guards felt that it was weird for those two who looked so noble to not even have 20 silver coins. 

Just as all four of them were contemplating on what to do, the fox around Felix's neck pulled out a gold coin from nowhere causing all four of them to sigh in relief. 

Felix and Eliza felt happy that they no longer needed to be in that awkward situation, while the guards who were worried about offending someone with a huge background felt like a huge birder had been removed from their shoulders.

Now that the problem regarding fees had been taken care of, Felix and Eliza walked into the city while ignoring the guard who was trying to give them the remaining change back.

Looking at this Maria couldn't help but snicker and think, 'These two sure have huge egos'.

Entering into the Broken Moon City, though the streets couldn't be said to be packed completely. They were however filled with walking pedestrians on both sides, and a few carriages would pass by once in a while as well.

At the same time, Felix received a notification that the side mission had been completed. Thinking this just as the group took a turn around the street, Felix bumped into a person causing him to take a step back, while the other person fell down with a thud.

Since Felix felt that the fault was his, he was just about to apologize. But before he could do that, the other party started shouting.

"How dare you push me down, little maggot! Do you know how much the clothes I wore cost?! Old man, I want you to kil... "

The person who fell down turned out to be a male in his 20s that was dressed very extravagantly.

The man's name was Samuel, the only heir of one of the four great families in Broken Moon City, the Silva Family. And today was his wedding, which explained why he was dressed in such eye grabbing clothes and complaining about them being ruined.

Just as Samuel was planning to have his anger satisfied by making the special guard appointed by his father kill Felix, his eyes fell upon Eliza.

From the first glance towards her, Samuel felt that she totally outshined every woman he had ever seen. Even his fiance who was known as the best beauty of this generation in the Broken Moon City couldn't compare with the silver haired angel in front of him.

And at the same time, his eyes started flashing with greed and lust. Licking his lips he spoke out, "Humph! Just for your crime of spoiling my wedding clothes, I can easily have you executed! However, since I'm a very magnanimous man, I can forget about this incident if that woman will become my concubi..."

Before Samuel could finish his sentence, the average looking old man beside him immediately covered his mouth and forcibly pushed his head causing him to bend down.

Even then, the old man was willing to give it up without a moment of hesitation. As what happened right now might impact the survival of the Silva Family.

This was because since the moment he encountered Eliza and Felix, he couldn't sense their cultivation. Which was acceptable for the little boy who wasn't even 10 years old yet.

Thinking about this the old man immediately shut up Samuel before he could finish that word, and let out a sigh after noticing that Eliza wasn't even paying them much attention until now. 

Giving her the spirit ring he immediately pulled Samuel and ram away not letting him breathe another word after which he berated him to behave respectfully if he ever encountered those silver haired people again. 

While Eliza still didn't know why she had been given a gift for no reason, she didn't care much about it. And after looking through its contents which were filled with gold and silver coins she felt that they would be enough to last them throughout their time in the Broken Moon City. 

On the other hand, Felix and Maria were not at all happy with the wealth they were gifted as apology but instead had a cold and murderous expression as they looked towards the old man who was running away along with the arrogant young Master. 

At the very same time, Felix finally understood the importance of strength. Sure this time they were the stronger ones due to which the enemies ran away. 

But what if the next one they encountered was an even stronger one? He couldn't hope for every encounter with an expert to turn out like it did with Maria, could he? 

In that case, would he just watch as someone else forcibly took Eliza away from him? 

Hell no! 

Due to this Felix felt that his current rate of growth in cultivation would not be enough, and he'd need to grow stronger much faster if he didn't want anything unexpected to happen. 

But that was all for later, right now he was debating whether to secretly kill him or to send Maria and make her kill him.

Of course, he could just kill him right now, but wouldn't that cause Eliza to ask him for an explanation due to which he'd have to reveal what happened. Felix, however, didn't want to let Eliza know that some third-grade young master was scheming to obtain her body.

Luckily before he had come to a decision, the system gave him a mission after reading the details he calmed down the fox who looked like she would kill Samuel the very next second. While telling her of his plan which she immediately accepted with bright but cruel eyes. 

At the same time, both Felix and Maria licked their lips in anticipation of what was to come that night.
