Come with me

Since Felix asked Zila such a question he thought that their relationship would turn a little awkward, however, nothing of that sort happened and their days were spent in the same way.

...

It had been almost half a year since Felix joined the Ethereal Dao College, and the new students had gotten used to life inside the college.

At the same time, Felix's fame got reduced since he didn't appear in public munch, while two new rumours were circulating among the students.

One was that Hector Wade was openly courting Phoebe Burgess, and the other was that the 3rd ranked newcomer Noah Arnold was in love with the 2nd rank Wendy Glisson.

Unfortunately, the two of them were publicly rejected. But this did nothing to them, as they continued to express their "never ending love".

Due to this the Hector and Arnold became the most unlikeliest friends who spent a lot of time together.

The classes in the Ethereal Dao College weren't mandatory, and attending them was up to the students.

However, very few of them who were truly confident in their talent chose to not go to the class and spent it cultivating inside their cave abode. And only consult the teacher when they'd hit a wall, or needed help to understand something.

"Hey, do you remember Felix?"

Showing a cruel smile since he hadn't forgotten the fact that Phoebe cared for Felix more than him, Hector said, "Yeah, What about him?"

"Have you heard anything about him since he joined the Mountain of Chaos?"

"Humph! That idiot bit more than he could chew. It won't be long before he comes down the Mountain of Chaos crying and begs the headmaster to join another Mountain."

Obviously Hector still held jealousy for Felix who was better than him in all aspects, however, Arnold shook his head.

"You told me that Phoebe always rejects you by comparing you to him. So you should take the chance at this year's competition to defeat Felix, and show Phoebe that you are better than him."

"That's right! And since he joined the Mountain of Chaos his strength would be many times weaker than me! But... What if he doesn't dare join the competition since he knows he's too weak?"

"That's simple dude. Just write him a challenge letter. Once you do that, if he doesn't appear, you can brag that he was scared of you."

"Hahahahahaha thank Noah. I owe you one."

Unknown to all of this Felix was enjoying his happy time with Zila by drinking together like always.

"You're too beautiful to squander your whole life by drinking Zila."

Despite feeling happy from the compliment, Zila shakes her head.

"So what if I'm beautiful? Life has always felt dull and boring to me. Therefore all I can do is drown myself in some quality wine and hope for time to fly away?"

"You could come with me."

"What?"

"You heard me right, come with me, and I can guarantee you won't feel dull and down anymore."

Hearing Felix, Zila couldn't help but chuckle.

"Fufufufu, indeed your life is full of adventure, and thanks for the invitation, but I'll have to take a rain check."

Saying so Zila got up to go back to her cave abode while saying, "Make sure to ask me that when you're leaving the college."

Smiling from what could be considered as mission successful, Felix couldn't help but empty the whole wine bottle inside his mouth.

...

The next day just like always Felix walked up to the top of the mountain, however, unlike always Zila wasn't there waiting for him with two bottles of wine in her hands.

Feeling a little confused, Felix sat on the cliff thinking that Zila had probably overslept.

Soon Felix heard the sound of footsteps and turned his head around to see Zila slowly climbing up the lush grass.

Unlike how she always looked sloppy in her robes which she didn't even bother to properly tie, the Zila of today looked like the princess of the sea wearing the light blue coloured robe. Also, Felix couldn't smell the scent of alcohol from her, or find any bottles on her.

"Let's try and see how it feels when I'm not drinking."

Sitting beside Felix, Zila for the first time ever didn't share her stories but started preaching about Dao to him.

Even as the sun was setting Felix didn't want to stop listening to Zila since every one of her words made him understand various aspects of Chaos, and clarified almost all the doubts he had about them.

"Giving up drinking to teach you Dao might not be a bad deal, Felix."

Looking at the receding back of Zila, Felix had to pinch himself to believe that the whole day wasn't a dream, but reality.

After all, he couldn't compare the usually loud and boisterous drunkard, to the now calm and serene woman at all.

Shaking his head Felix also left the cliff to go back to his room. However just as he was passing by Zila's cave, the door opened, and out came a glistening white hand through the gap.

"How about spending the night in here?"

Listening to Zila's voice, while her hand made an inviting gesture, Felix didn't think about rejecting her for a single second.
