Why Should I Apologize?

The next day, Saira got up early to get ready. She chose a princess dress from LB's latest collection that complemented her skin tone, wore diamond earrings, and put on a gemstone bracelet designed by her brother. After ensuring she looked flawless in the mirror, she smiled.

Just thinking about Zuri wearing her old clothes to meet her friends made her feel ecstatic.

Soon, Zuri would become a laughingstock in high society, a disgrace to the Lin family.

"Saira, going out?" Dalia looked at her well-dressed daughter, very satisfied.

"Yes, I'm taking Zuri to meet some friends." Saira said gently.

Dalia took her hand, patting it lightly, "You are the most sensible and considerate. Take good care of her outside, don't let her embarrass the Lin family."

Saira nodded obediently, "I understand, Mom."

She would certainly take good care of her.

"Let's go."

Suddenly, a cool voice came from behind.

Mother and daughter turned around, surprised at what they saw her wearing.

"Why are you dressed like that?" Dalia frowned, "A shirt and jeans, what kind of look is that."

Dressed like this, they would bring shame to the Lin family.

"What's the problem?"

Dalia was infuriated by her common appearance, angrily scolding, "Going out dressed like that, are you trying to make a mockery of the Lin family? Are you trying to tell everyone that we mistreat you?"

She was already unhappy with her behavior but had tolerated it, thinking she was just adjusting. Now, it was too much.

Saira quickly spoke to calm her, "Mom, don't be angry. She's probably just unaware."

Turning to Zuri, she signaled frantically, "Zuri, apologize to Mom."

Zuri laughed.

Looking at the angry Lin family matriarch, she found it amusing.

"You, you..."

She was laughing even after being scolded.

This made Dalia feel very frustrated.

Saira gently patted Dalia's back, "Mom, don't get worked up. You'll hurt yourself. Zuri, apologize to Mom."

Dalia looked at the considerate and filial Saira, then at Zuri, standing there like a rogue, feeling more and more displeased.

How could such a person be her daughter.

Why couldn't her daughter be Saira.

"Apologize? Why should I apologize? I'm decently dressed, not naked or stealing. How am I embarrassing you? My clothes are clean and tidy, how do they disgrace the Lin family?"

She had wanted to say this in her previous life but had always held back.

Now, she finally said it to their faces.

"Are you trying to kill me?" Dalia's chest heaved with anger.

Saira disapproved, "Zuri, dressing like this isn't appropriate. You're the eldest daughter of the Lin family now, not who you were before. Clothes are your face. Now you represent not just yourself, but the entire Lin family."

Dalia felt very gratified hearing Saira's words.

This was how her daughter should be. The more she looked at Zuri, the more she disliked her.

Zuri feigned a look of realization, "I see, I should wear Saira's old clothes to meet her friends, to give the Lin family face."
