The Entrepreneur’s Enigma

Some time had passed since Huang had been attracted to any young woman, as he didn’t want to commit. His interest was in strengthening his company and taking care of his grandparents.

In his room, he takes out the painting and stops to look at it carefully. He observes the inscription on the backrest and searches on a platform, but finds nothing. He communicates with his professor, who lives in the United States and is a language historian. They talk for a while and he sends him the reference of what he says. He helps him and tells him that it is a very old and beautiful piece in which he notices an event. He thanks him and places it carefully.

While talking to Andrew, they laugh a bit. In a more serious tone, he tells him about the mysterious girl:

—How great, my dear friend, that you are interested in a girl and the name she has is very beautiful. How are your grandparents?

—They are enjoying good health and are waiting for you. My uncle will help you take some parts of Lijiang, I hope you stay longer than the first time.

—Rest assured, my mother is delighted to meet you and she’s also a matchmaker. How are you with the project?

—I’ve managed to find the land.

—I’m sure it will be a success, brother. I’ll bring you some books and a few sweets, the ones we used to eat in college. By the way, you left Laura alone, she’s asking about you; about the “heartbreaker”.

—I made it clear to her that I wouldn’t have anything with any girl because I would be with my grandparents for a long time.

—But you know how she is, stubborn.

—I don’t want anything with her,” says Huang Yang with certainty.

—Are you still having those experiences, friend?

—Yes, but they’re shorter now.

—You have to take care of yourself, “my prince,” —Andrew jokes.

—What are you saying? Why are you joking?

They finish talking and say goodbye. Yang’s phone rings, it’s his cousin:

—How are you, Mei?

—And you? How’s the best cousin I have?

They talk a lot, while Huang runs his hand over his head.

—I’ll tell you about the gifts, but cousin, I loved yours the most; this Hade bracelet is the most beautiful. Oh! I almost forgot… You captivated my friend Helen, what do you think of her?

—Yes, I think she’s a girl with great qualities.

—And she asked me about you. Did you know, cousin, that she’s not engaged? She’s waiting for her Prince Charming. Helen has her aunt and she’s a good woman, she was abroad like you; she has no other relatives. The kids love her and the elders in the square too, many know how to read because she taught them. She told me that her grandmother invited her.

—Yes.

—So, I imagine she invited me too.

—And how did you decline, cousin?

—Ah! I love you, cousin, take care, —and very excited, Mei hangs up the call.

Hours later…

Investors call him, the meeting he has is very important and it has cost him a lot to invest in his project. Huang Yang looks through the windows and sees a man in very old soldier’s clothing standing in front of his house.
